On December 23, 2021, the Management Board of Vinaconex Building at 34 Lang Ha Street in coordination with the Police Department of Fire and Rescue-Hanoi City’s Police organized the fire drills & rescue exercises in 2021.
Based on the hypothetical situation in which there was a fire in the building while the employees were performing their regular tasks and there was an injured individual in need of emergency.
Right after the fire was detected, the fire alarm system and notice of evacuation instructions from the building’s Management Board would automatically activate while the grassroots fire fighting force quickly instructed the staff and tenants to evacuate by the emergency door; at the same time, using on-site fire protection equipment such as fire hydrants, fire extinguishers, etc. to approach, block the fire and provide first aid to victims while waiting for the Fire Police.
Three specialized fire engines, officers, and police from the Police Department of Fire and Rescue-Hanoi City’s Police were sent to work with the grassroots forces to arrange firefighting using water cannons, fire extinguishers, and sprayers. The hypothetical fire was entirely controlled and put out after a short time.
This is a crucial activity for everyone to keep raising awareness, understanding the skills, the process of coordinating and deploying fire prevention and fighting, the capability of rescue and escape, as well as using the on-site firefighting equipment proficiently in case of a fire incident.
The Building’s Management Board and the Police force of Fire and Rescue had a meeting following the drills to review and discuss. The representative police assessed the fire drill and rescue exercises as having good results, and the Building's technical system performed flawlessly; especially, the grassroots forces promoted their duties and coordinated rather well with the Fire Police in addressing incidence. But, this was merely a drill, and the actual situation would be drastically different. Therefore, the Building’s Management Board shall continue to inform widely to further raise the awareness and responsibility for fire prevention and fighting, enhance training in necessary skills of fire prevention at the workplace, rescue, escape, etc. for every staff member in the Building;
Ensuring fire and explosion safety at the Building is ensuring complete safety for the lives and properties of customers and investors, and helping to maintain local security, proving that the Vinaconex building is always a welcoming and secure place for customers and partners.
