In line with the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor’s guidelines for the 2024 “Trade Union Meal” and to celebrate the 95th founding anniversary of the Vietnam Trade Union, the Trade Union of Vinaconex Corporation, together with the Trade Union of the Corporation’s holding company, organized the “Union Meal” program on August 5. The program had the presence and support of Mr. Do Van Quang, Permanent Vice President of the National Vietnam Union of Building Workers.
On the side of VINACONEX, there were the participation of Mr. Dao Ngoc Thanh, Party Secretary and Chairman of the Strategy Council; Mr. Nguyen Huu Toi, Chairman of the Board of Directors; Mr. Nguyen Xuan Dong, General Director; members of the Corporation's Board of Directors; the Corporation’s Trade Union; and 200 union members from the Corporation’s holding company.
This program was particularly significant in fostering solidarity and understanding, helping to build trust and strengthen the bond between union members, employees, towards the Corporation and trade union.
In his remarks, President of the Corporation’s Trade Union Nguyen Manh Cuong, expressed deep gratitude to the Corporation’s Party Committee and BOD for their attention to employee welfare, even in the smallest matters. He highlighted a recent decision by the Board of Directors to increase the shift meal allowance from VND 1,300,000 to VND 1,500,000 per person per month, effective July 1, to help employees cope with the rising cost of living due to inflation.
Previously, on July 19, 2024, the Trade Union of the Thang Long Project Management Unit, in collaboration with the Corporation's Trade Union, successfully organized the “Union Meal” program at the Expansion Project of Noi Bai International Airport’s T2 Passenger Terminal with the participation of over 70 union members and employees.
The dedication of the Corporation's Party Committee, Board of Directors, and Trade Union to the welfare of members and employees reflects the longstanding tradition and culture of VINACONEX, fostering greater trust and loyalty among employees toward the trade union organizations and the enterprise as well as inspiring employees to actively contribute to the Corporation's sustainable development.
