Project progress

On October 18, two sections of the Eastern North-South Expressway construction project phase I, National Highway 45 - Nghi Son and Nghi Son - Dien Chau, were officially inaugurated and put into operation. Vinaconex, as the contractor for both projects, was honored to have contributed to their successful completion.

On August 30, the inauguration ceremony was held by the Hanoi People's Committee in Hanoi for the Vinh Tuy Bridge - Phase 2 project. Vinaconex is honored to have been involved in the construction of package 01/VT2-XL to build the main section, which is the most important item of this project.

In the afternoon of August 28, the delegation from Nam Dinh Provincial Party Committee, paid a visit to Nam Dinh provincial general hospital, a key project in the province, in order to inspect the construction progress there

Chairman of the Board, Mr. Dao Ngoc Thanh requested that PMU no.1 direct the executive board of the joint venture for package no. 10 to adhere to regulations on quality and technical standards and ensure progress as specified in the contract with the investor

After 2 years of construction, a number of items under Vinh Tuy bridge project phase 2 has been completed. The KN5, the final and most important section spanning the main stream is expected to be joined on May 30, 2023 as scheduled. That serves as the basis for the Vinh Tuy Bridge project phase 2 to be put into operation in October 2023.

Due to the significant impact of the COVID-19 epidemic and certain external factors, there has been an increase in the price of materials compared to the time of bidding. However, through relentless efforts to overcome all obstacles, Vinaconex and the contractor joint venture have managed to maintain the progress of the Ialy hydropower project.

The goal of putting Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet and Phan Thiet - Dau Giay expressways into operation by April 30, 2023, remains unchanged and is the latest requirement from The Ministry of Transport to the relevant contractors and units. In order to meet the set progress, Vinaconex contractor has been deploying all available human resources, machinery, and equipment to complete the remaining items.

From the beginning of the year, the contractors have carried out all construction and installation packages of the Vung Ang 2 Thermal Power Plant construction project concurrently. Especially, the items of package B in Vinaconex’s charge are always accelerated with the aim to be completed and handed over by April 2024 as scheduled.
