LAUNCHING THE PROJECT OF CAT BA AMATINA

Cai Gia tourist urban area, Cat Ba - Cat Ba Amatina (Hai Phong) promises to become “a resort masterpiece in the heart of Pearl Island”. 
On November 21, Vinaconex Investment and Tourism Development Joint Stock Company (Vinaconex-ITC), a member unit of Vinaconex Corporation officially held a launching ceremony for the project of Cai Gia Tourism Urban Area (Cat Ba Amatina) in Cat Ba town.

Stretching nearly 3 kilometers along the cross-island route, the 172-hectare Cat Ba Amatina located at the gateway to the center of Cat Ba island belongs to the key economic development triangle in the North of Vietnam (including Hanoi, Hai Phong, and Quang Ninh). In addition to the convenient road and air traffic system, the cable car on the Cat Hai - Phu Long route completed in 2020 has given a distinct advantage and allowed tourists to have a unique experience with the project’s entire beauty from a bird's-eye view.

Mr. Dao Ngoc Thanh - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vinaconex Corporation stated that Cai Gia Tourism Urban Area in Cat Ba is a key project being directly invested by Vinaconex-ITC.
With an estimated total investment of VND 10,941 billion, the Cat Ba - Amatina project would become one of the most modern resort urban projects in Vietnam with regional or global dimensions, adhearing to the principles of sustainable development, smart city, and effectively promoting the tourism potential of Cat Ba Island.
The VINACONEX Company and VINACONEX - ITC commited to prioritize the application of new, environment-friendly design options and technology solutions while emphasizing the conservation and development of Cat Ba's endemic features as one of the project's prerequisite tasks. Besides, it was also committed to comply with Hai Phong City's directives for the development of “green” and sustainable Cat Ba island and sea tourism, contributing to socioeconomic growth and helping local people, and promoting the natural beauty as well as the tourism brand of Vietnam to the world.

In his remarks at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Duc Tho, Vice Chairman of the Hai Phong City People's Committee, expressed his belief that with the determination of VINACONEX ITC and the support and investment of VINACONEX Corporation - a leading brand in the field of construction and real estate investment in Vietnam - a modern, synchronous resort urban area with national and international standards would be created in the next 5 years, becoming a symbol of Cat Ba tourism in particular and of Vietnam's tourism industry in general. Through the high-quality works of international caliber, the perception of foreigners to Vietnam's tourism industry would also be changed more positively that Cat Ba tourism not only can utilize its available natural potential and advantages but also can offer visitors the experiences of top-class service and facility.

Mr. Nguyen Duc Tho also requested the relevant authorities to facilitate and support the employer to implement the project quickly and effectively in accordance with the State's regulations.
