Vinaconex Joint Stock Corporation is currently asphalt paving the intersection of National Highway No. 8A, a section passing through Duc Tho district (Ha Tinh province under the Bai Vot - Ham Nghi package under the North-South Expressway project.
The intersection of NH No. 8A passing through Thanh Binh Thinh commune, Duc Tho district, Ha Tinh province, marks the starting point of the Bai Vot - Ham Nghi component project and connects to the Dien Chau - Bai Vot project.
To keep the project timely open to traffic with the Dien Chau - Bai Vot project (19-km long remaining sections) in June 2024, Vinaconex is urgently constructing various sections at the intersection of NH No. 8A at the same time.
Once completed, vehicles could travel from National Highway 1A through Hong Linh town to the intersection and then onward to the North via NH 8A.
According to the leader of the Thang Long Project Management Board (Ministry of Transport - Investor of the Bai Vot - Ham Nghi project), this is the first asphalted intersection on the expressway in Ha Tinh province.
Besides, the contractor is working on other items such as the guardrails, slope, and asphalting the on-ramp to the overpass.
Leaders of Vinaconex Corporation anticipate that the intersection would be operational by early June, coinciding with the opening of the remaining 19 km of the Dien Chau - Bai Vot project to traffic.
The construction contractor - Dai Hiep Co., Ltd. is currently focusing on asphalt paving to complete the remaining sections of the intersection. Engineer Vuong Dao Chau from Dai Hiep Co., Ltd. stated that the company has already implemented items such as asphalt paving, guardrails, concrete pouring on the toll station’s road, and a lighting system set up. These tasks are expected to be mostly completed by June 15.
Package No.11XL of the Bai Vot - Ham Nghi expressway from Km479 + 300 to Km514 + 470, is a joint venture project between the Viet Nam Construction and Import - Export Joint Stock Corporation and 319 Corporation Ministry Of National Defence. Particularly, Vinaconex has been responsible for constructing the main 22.17km route, 15 overpasses, and 2 intersections. As of May 7, 2024, the project had reached 41.73% completion, totaling VND 1,177.24 billion VND out of the projected VND 2,820 billion.
