Following the directive of Minister of Construction Tran Hong Minh to complete all works on the main line of the La Son - Hoa Lien Expressway by August 15, 2026, VINACONEX is mobilizing full manpower and equipment across multiple work crews, working around the clock to finish the final items and bring the route into operation by mid-August.
La Son - Hoa Lien is a project with unique construction challenges, as the route passes through Bach Ma National Park. From the outset, the Ministry of Construction and local authorities have required contractors to strictly control construction processes to minimize environmental impact and protect the area's natural ecosystem.
Designed to span approximately 65 kilometers, the expressway is being expanded from 2 to 4 lanes, with a roadbed width of 22 meters and a design speed of 60-80 km/h. The project makes maximum use of existing roadbeds and structures, while building and expanding bridge works to accommodate the new operational scale.
Site inspections in July show that the project continues to accelerate, with overall progress reaching approximately 95%. Contractors are now focused on completing median barriers, anti-glare screens, signage, road markings, and other traffic safety features.
During the site inspection, Minister Tran Hong Minh instructed all units to maximize manpower and equipment to complete all main-line works, including bridges, roadways, and traffic safety systems by August 15, 2026.
In this final sprint, VINACONEX and its joint venture partners continue to fully mobilize resources, stay on schedule, and remain determined to complete their assigned works, helping bring the La Son - Hoa Lien Expressway to completion on time. This will enhance the capacity of the Eastern North-South Expressway, improve traffic safety, strengthen the Hue - Da Nang connection, and boost socio-economic development in the Central region.
Throughout the construction process, VINACONEX and other project participants have applied various technical solutions to expand the route while minimizing impact on the natural ecosystem.
Once operational, the La Son - Hoa Lien Expressway will enhance the capacity of the Eastern North-South Expressway, improve traffic safety, and drive socio-economic development in the Central region.
