On June 8, the Mikazuki Group (Japan) held the opening ceremony of the Mikazuki Hotel in Da Nang. This belongs to the Da Nang Mikazuki luxury resort and entertainment complex, with a total investment of about VND 3,900 billion.
That Mikazuki Group opening a large-scale resort hotel in Da Nang is of considerable significance and is expected to serve as a bridge for Japan-Vietnam cooperative ties and play a key role in building and deepening the two countries’ relationship.
As part of the opening ceremony for this special and meaningful project, VINACONEX together with the joint venture of VINACONEX, Sigma, Raymond officially handed over the items to Mikazuki Group, Japan.
Despite numerous obstacles owing to the COVID-19 pandemic over the last two years, the contractor of VINACONEX, Sigma, Raymond joint venture, and Mikazuki Group made all efforts, devoted resources to build, complete, and put the Mikazuki Japanese Resort & Spa Phase 1 into operation on a committed schedule. It has become a very appealing destination for both locals and visitors, thereby creating more jobs and increasing budget revenues for Da Nang. VINACONEX Corporation has successfully fulfilled the duty of general contractor, particularly in the operation, direction, and implementation of a number of construction items on the construction site.
The project investor, Mr. Odaka Yoshimune, Chairman of ODK Mikazuki Vietnam Co., Ltd., stated at the handover ceremony: "So far, we have not assigned a Vietnamese general contractor to do any project, so we want to check if the Vietnamese contractor is capable or not. And when the project officially launches today, I find that Vinaconex has achieved excellent results and is fully capable of meeting our requirements. VINACONEX has completed a quality project at a very reasonable cost".
Mr. Yoshimune also shared that because 2023 marks the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan, many Japanese politicians will visit Vietnam and stay at the Mikazuki Hotel, and as a result, many other investors will be aware of the reputation of VINACONEX as a general contractor for being able to build such a high-quality product.
Representative of Design Consultancy - Mr. Takahashi Hiroshi – General Director of Raymond Viet Nam Architect Design One Member Co., Ltd., commented: "From the first days I arrived in Vietnam, I have known that VINACONEX is a big and reputable unit. VINACONEX, as the general contractor for the project, has met the requirements set forth and overcame any arising challenges. As for Japan, VINACONEX would be mentioned more in our country once the Mikazuki project is finished.
Covering an area of 13 hectares, the Mikazuki Spa & Hotel Resort is a large-scale project having various Japanese-inspired architectural features, including the first hot spring and water park area in Vietnam that operate 365 days a year in all weather for customer entertainment. All 500 rooms in this 24-storey hotel have an outdoor bath on the balconies. On the hotel’s rooftop, the onsen-style hot-water infinity swimming pool offers a broad view of Da Nang Bay from a height of 95 meters. The project features many other construction items, such as Mount Fuji, the symbol of Japan, an ecological garden with the 400-meter-long Lazy River, 12 villas, and beach restaurants.
The Mikazuki Spa & Hotel Resort project is fresh and distinctive due to the crystallization of unique values from the land of cherry blossoms, which leads to the requirement of more high-tech and complex execution. It was even more challenging when working with Japanese investors, who require almost absolute discipline and accuracy. But with creativity, enthusiasm, and responsibility, VINACONEX officials, engineers, and workers have steadily conquered impressive items that were seen as unfeasible.
