As one of the series of 4 long-term growth driving projects of Quang Ninh, with an area of 82.79 hectares, the total investment of phase 1 is over VND 2,248 billion, invested by Van Ninh International Port Joint Stock Company.
Van Ninh general port is a port capable of receiving ships of up to 20,000 tons, ferries, sea and inland waterways; has the function of gathering and distributing Vietnam's import and export goods to the Chinese market, forming a chain of logistics services to bring optimal efficiency for import and export goods. At the same time, meet the requirements of protecting national security and sovereignty, sea and island sovereignty when necessary.
Van Ninh General Port has a total area of 480ha for research and planning. In which, phase 1 covers an area of 82.8ha; total berth length is 500m for ships and 390m for barges; Total investment is 2,248.5 billion VND, expected to complete and put into operation phase 1 by 2024.
