The expansion and completion project for the Lang Hoa Lac Expressway, now referred as Thang Long Boulevard, is a significant investment in infrastructure construction, creating the most modern expressway in Vietnam so far. The Lang - Hoa Lac Expressway spans 30.169km from Trung Kinh Bridge to Hoa Lac Central Crossroads and serves as the main road connecting Hanoi with the new urban cluster Hoa Lac - Mieu Mon - Son Tay.
Construction items include:
Bridge construction:
- Total length of bridges: L=5,575m;
- Beam structure:
+ Post-tensioning T and I beams in prestressed reinforced concrete, span length 15m÷42m;
+ Post-tensioning pre-stressed girder, span length 9m÷20m;
+ Post-tensioning hollow slab built by scaffolding system, span length 30m÷50m;

- Foundation:

+ Bored piles D800mm÷D1,500mm; The depth of bored piles is from 40m to 45m.

+ Reinforced concrete piles 40x40 (cm) and 35x35 (cm);

Expressway construction:

- Total road length: L=29,264km x 4 strips.

- Soft soil improvement with wick drains and sand drains D40cm.

Drainage system:

- Reinforced concrete box culvert: Size 3,500mmx3,500mm, length: 540m; Size 3,000mmx3,000mm length: 48m; Dimensions 3,500mmx2,000mm, length: 480m.

- Reinforced concrete round culvert: Diameter D=1,500mm length: 1,100m; Diameter D=2,000mm length: 850m.
