On June 2, 2026, Vietnam Water and Environment Investment Corporation (VIWASEEN) held an inauguration ceremony today for the Dinh Vu Clean Water Plant, located within the Dinh Vu Industrial Zone in Hai Phong City, with a designed capacity of 10,000 cubic meters per day.
The ceremony drew key figures including Mr. Nguyen Danh Tu - Deputy Head of the Hai Phong Economic Zone Management Board; Mr. Dao Ngoc Thanh - Chairman of VINACONEX's Strategic Council; Ms. Ho Thi Hong Tham - Director of Agribank Dong Hai Phong Branch; Mr. Tom Bollaert - Operations Director of DeepC Blue Co., Ltd.; Mr. Nguyen Hai Dang - VINACONEX Deputy General Director, Board Member, and VIWASEEN General Director. Also in attendance were VIWASEEN's leadership team, along with consultants, contractors, and project partners.
The Dinh Vu Clean Water Plant is located on plot KT01.A1 within the DEEP C1 Industrial Park. Construction broke ground on October 30, 2025, and the plant officially started supplying water to customers on March 26, 2026. With a design capacity of 10,000 m³ per day, the plant is a critical piece of infrastructure for the Dinh Vu - Cat Hai Economic Zone, one of Hai Phong's most dynamic industrial areas.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Hai Dang highlighted that the plant's commissioning is the result of strong support from regulators, partners, and the dedicated efforts of VIWASEEN's team. He emphasized that stable, reliable water infrastructure is critical to industrial park development and noted that VIWASEEN plans to keep investing in system upgrades, adopt new technologies, and drive digital transformation in operations management to ensure a high-quality, stable water supply for its customers.
Mr. Dao Ngoc Thanh, Chairman of VINACONEX's Strategic Council, commended VIWASEEN's efforts throughout the project. He noted that VIWASEEN is steadily building on its strengths in clean water and environmental services, while expanding development opportunities by leveraging VINACONEX's resources, management expertise, and large-scale infrastructure project capabilities.
Mr. Tom Bollaert, Operations Director of DeepC Blue Co., Ltd., voiced strong confidence in VIWASEEN's operational capabilities and service quality. He affirmed DeepC Blue's continued partnership with VIWASEEN as it expands its water infrastructure to meet the growing needs of businesses in the Dinh Vu Industrial Zone.
Following the official ribbon-cutting ceremony, delegates toured the facility to observe its modern water treatment systems and operations firsthand.
