On October 17, 2020, at the Vietnam-Soviet Friendship Labor Cultural Palace in Hanoi, a live television program entitled 'The whole country joins hands for the poor' in 2020 was jointly held by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee in cooperation with the Central Steering Committee for national target programs and Vietnam Television. The program had the presence of Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan and other members of the Politburo including Tran Quoc Vuong - permanent member of the Party Central Committee (PCC)'s Secretariat ; Vo Van Thuong - Secretary of the PCC and Head of the PCC's Commission for Communications and Education; Truong Thi Mai, Secretary of the PCC, Head of the PCC's Commission for Mass Mobilization; Nguyen Van Binh, Secretary of the PCC, Head of the PCC's Economic Commission; Tran Thanh Man – President of Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee (VFFCC); Nguyen Hoa Binh - Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court; Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh – Vice President of Vietnam; Vu Duc Dam - Deputy Prime Minister; along with leaders and members of the Party, State, Fatherland Front, and many central and local ministries, departments, organizations.
This’s an annual program held to call for the contribution to the Fund "For the Poor" and social welfare program from all local and overseas Vietnamese, enterprises, organizations and individuals in response to the movement "The whole country joins hands for the poor – Leaving no one behind" launched by the Prime Minister.
At the program, 220 enterprises, units, and individuals offered their support and committed to donate a total of nearly VND 2.4 trillion to the "Fund for the Poor" and social welfare program.
Contributing to the shared objective, on behalf of Vinaconex Corporation, Mr. Nguyen Hai Lam, Vice President of the Corporation’s Trade Union attended the program and and donated VND 500 million. This was the care, compassion, and also the responsibility of more than 15,000 employees and workers of Vinaconex towards the poor and disadvantaged people.
Besides, responding to the call of the Party and Government towards the beloved Central region, the Party Committee - Executive Board - Trade Union of Vinaconex asked all employees in the entire system to donate one day’s salary and, together with the Corporation, carry out the relief and encouragement operations for the people of the Central region, helping them cope with the severe consequences of flooding and other natural disasters, resume production, and stabilize their lives at the earliest.
