VINACONEX ORGANIZED THE 2024 “TRADE UNION MEAL” PROGRAM

On July 19, 2024, the VINACONEX Corporation’s Trade Union and the grassroots Trade Union of the Thang Long Project Management Unit organized the 2024 “Trade Union Meal” program at the Executive Board of Package No. 12 “Construction, supply and installation of equipment for T2 terminal expansion” under the “Expansion Project of T2 Passenger Terminal - Noi Bai International Airport” (“Package No. 12”).

Following Instruction No. 26/HD-TLD dated July 3, 2024, by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, and Plan No. 354/KH-CDXD dated July 15, 2024 by the National Vietnam Union of Building Workers, on July 16, 2024, the VINACONEX Trade Union promptly implemented Plan No. 78/2024/CD-VP on organizing the 2024 “Trade Union Meal” for all grassroots trade unions within the corporation. Accordingly, on July 19, 2024, the “Trade Union Meal” program took place in the dining hall of Thang Long PMU's grassroots trade union. In his speech, Mr. Nguyen Manh Cuong congratulated union members and employees on the 95th founding anniversary of the Vietnam Trade Union (July 28, 1929 - July 28, 2024). He also highlighted the "Union Meal's” role in fostering solidarity and understanding among workers, Trade Unions, and unit leaders, thereby strengthening the bond and loyalty of union members and employees to both the union and the enterpris

On the occasion of this program, Mr. Nguyen Manh Cuong paid a visit to the living and working conditions of the construction workers. On behalf of Vinaconex corporation’s Trade union, he praised the leaders and the Trade Union of Thanh Long PMU for their exemplary care of the workforce, as well as encouraged grassroots trade unions within the Corporation to learn and emulate this model.

On the occasion of celebrating the 95th founding anniversary of the Vietnam Trade Union, Mr. Nguyen Manh Cuong, on behalf of the Corporation's Trade Union, presented gifts worth VND 35 million to the workers of the Thang Long PMU to support them during the hot season of 2024 and recognize their hard work on various construction projects including Package 09/TP2-XL, the Ring Road No. 4 – Hanoi capital region project; Package No. 5.10 under the Project of Long Thanh International Airport Construction – Phase 1 and Package No. 12 under the Expansion Project of T2 Passenger Terminal - Noi Bai International Airport.

Representing over 70 employees attending the “Trade Union meal” program at Package No. 12, Head of the Construction Executive Board Le Minh Quy expressed gratitude towards the leaders, the Trade Unions of the Corporation and Thang Long PMU. He emphasized the motivational impact of these activities on employees working diligently on the construction site. In response, the staff of the Thang Long PMU, including the Executive Board of Package No. 12, pledged to continue working hard, overcoming all the obstacles to complete the tasks assigned by the Corporation and the PMU on schedule, with the quality required by the Investor.

At the end of the program, the Corporation’s delegation joined union members and workers of Package No. 12 for the “Trade Union Meal”. Each pax, valued at VND75,000 VND, was covered by both the grassroots union (VND 50,000) and the government (VND 25,000). Enjoyed in a joyful and cheerful atmosphere, this meal helped strengthen the bond between employees and the leaders and Trade Union of the PMU and marked the successful conclusion of the trade union's program celebrating the 95th anniversary of the Vietnam Trade Union.  The VINACONEX Trade Union would continue to hold meaningful “Union Meals” at grassroots trade unions across the system.
