VINACONEX has taken delivery of new SANY SR235 and SR285R rotary drilling rigs, expanding its equipment fleet and strengthening its deep foundation construction capabilities for large-scale projects.
On the morning of September 24, 2026, VINACONEX and TCE Equipment and Services Joint Stock Company (TCE) held a handover ceremony for the new rotary drilling rigs at the 5S Service Center. The acquisition supports VINACONEX’s strategy to modernize its construction equipment and meet demanding schedule, quality, and efficiency requirements on major national projects.
The new fleet includes high-capacity SANY SR235 and SR285R rotary drilling rigs. By investing in heavy-duty specialized machinery, VINACONEX can reduce its reliance on external resources and carry out complex foundation work in challenging geological and hydrological conditions.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Tran Dinh Tuan, Deputy General Director of VINACONEX, said the investment in large rotary drilling rigs marked a key step in upgrading the Corporation’s foundation construction capabilities. Adding the SANY SR235 and SR285R rigs to its fleet will help VINACONEX meet complex technical requirements, shorten construction timelines, and maintain strict quality control on major infrastructure projects.
Mr. Tran Dinh Tuan asked project teams to quickly become proficient in operating the equipment, develop effective deployment plans, and maintain high standards of safety, quality, and productivity throughout construction.
Alongside its investment in new equipment, VINACONEX is also focusing on technical training and technology transfer. Engineers and machine operators will receive comprehensive training to operate the rigs safely and efficiently. This is a critical factor in maximizing its investment by bringing together modern equipment, advanced technology, and skilled personnel.
At the ceremony, Mr. Le Manh Hung, General Director of TCE, expressed his honor at being trusted by VINACONEX to supply SANY drilling rigs. He pledged ongoing support throughout the equipment lifecycle, including warranty services, routine maintenance, technical assistance, and delivery of genuine spare parts.
Mr. Tang Xiao Lin, SANY Service Director in Vietnam, confirmed that SANY's engineering teams and specialists are ready to support VINACONEX during operation, helping to keep the equipment running reliably and efficiently.
The investment in SANY SR235 and SR285R rigs, combined with training and technical transfer, reflects VINACONEX's integrated approach to equipment, technology, and people. Through this, the Corporation is steadily strengthening its foundation construction capability, securing its own resources, and laying the groundwork for the effective delivery of future projects.
