VINACONEX ACTIVELY SUPPORTS THE COVID-19 VACCINE FUND

As a part of practical efforts to join hands with the entire country in the fight against COVID-19, VINACONEX Corporation recently contributed VND 3 billion to the COVID-19 Vaccine Fund launched by the Prime Minister. To offer a small contribution to the Party and government to repel the Covid-19 pandemic, Vinaconex has made a donation of more than VND 20 billion since the COVID-19 flare-up.

On June 8, the Municipal Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hai Phong City held a conference to support the COVID-19 vaccine fund launched by PM.

More than VND 250 billion was donated to the fund by the participating collectives and individuals. Responding to the call for donations, Mr. Le Van Huy, Executive Committee member of the Corporation's Party Committee, General Director of Vinaconex Investment And Tourism Development Joint Stock Company (VINACONEX - ITC) attended and donated VND 3 billion to the COVID-19 Vaccine Fund.

During the peak of donations to support the Covid - 19 prevention launched by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Son Tay Town - Hanoi City, Mr. Nguyen Manh Cuong - Standing Deputy Secretary, President of the Corporation’s Trade Union sponsored VND 500 million to the program on behalf of VINACONEX.

When the COVID-19 pandemic first flared up in Vietnam, VINACONEX engaged in a variety of meaningful and practical activities to "defeat COVID" together with the community. From 2020 to the present, VINACONEX has donated more than VND 20 billion to Covid-19 disease prevention and control activities, specifically: donated modern medical supplies with the value of nearly VND 2.5 billion to the health facilities in Da Nang; donated 2,000 SARS-COV2 test kits worth VND 2 billion to Hai Phong city; and supported three branches of K Hospital with necessary supplies for social distancing, and epidemic prevention works (including folding beds, thin blankets, electric fans, portable sockets, portable toilets, etc.) in the 4th flare-up of the epidemic, along with other joint activities.

This is not only the corporate social responsibility but also the care and enthusiasm of more than 10,000 VINACONEX employees towards the community as they spent their one day’s salary as a small contribution to “fighting the epidemic like fighting against the enemy.”

VINACONEX and its member units are going to conduct more donation and support activities for COVID-19 prevention and control with the government.
