Spanning nearly 300 hectares with a total investment of over VND 6,300 billion, the Dong Anh Industrial Park will be developed by VINACONEX as a next-generation industrial park model - ecological, smart, and high-tech - poised to become a new growth driver north of Hanoi and a strategic destination for both domestic and international enterprises.
On the morning of May 20, VINACONEX Corporation, in collaboration with the Hanoi People's Committee, held a groundbreaking ceremony for the Dong Anh Industrial Park infrastructure construction and business project. This large-scale, modern industrial park is expected to serve as a new engine for development north of the capital.
The ceremony was honored to welcome Mr. Truong Viet Dung, Member of the Hanoi Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee, along with representatives from various municipal departments and the Hanoi High-Tech and Industrial Park Management Board.
Also in attendance was Mr. Pham Hoai Phuong, Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Member of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Construction, and Chairman of the National Union of Building Workers of Vietnam, along with strategic partners, consultants, and contractors.
Representing the investor, VINACONEX, were Chairman of the Board of Directors Nguyen Xuan Dong; Chairman of the Strategic Council Dao Ngoc Thanh; General Director Pham Thai Duong; along with leaders of functional departments and subsidiary units of the Corporation.
Poised to Become a Green, Smart Industrial Hub
The Dong Anh Industrial Park infrastructure construction and business project spans nearly 300 hectares with a total investment exceeding VND 6,300 billion. Located in the communes of Thu Lam and Phuc Thinh, the project will be developed in 2 phases: Phase 1 covers 179.1 hectares, and Phase 2 approximately 120.35 hectares.
Dong Anh Industrial Park is designed as an eco-friendly, high-tech, smart, and low-emission industrial park. Priority will be given to attracting logistics, semiconductor, artificial intelligence, precision manufacturing, supporting industries, and other high-value-added sectors.
This project is a key component of the broader development plan for the region north of the Red River. According to the Capital's 100-year master plan, the Dong Anh - Me Linh - Soc Son corridor is envisioned as the northern growth pole, serving as the “integration driver” for Hanoi. This area will focus on service-driven urbanization, international trade, finance, and logistics linked to Noi Bai International Airport, and high-tech industrial and innovation hubs.
Strategically located at the northern gateway of Hanoi, the project offers direct connectivity to multiple key transport routes, including the Nhat Tan - Noi Bai axis, National Highway 18, the Hanoi - Thai Nguyen Expressway, and Ring Road 3. It also provides rapid access to Noi Bai International Airport, Gia Binh International Airport, and major logistics hubs in the northern Vietnam.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Pham Thai Duong affirmed that being entrusted by the City as the project investor is both a great honor and a profound responsibility. He pledged that VINACONEX will deploy its full financial, human, technological, and governance resources to execute the project with the highest commitment to ensure progress, quality, and strict compliance with environmental requirements and sustainable development principles.
“The value of a modern industrial park lies not only in investment returns or production output, but also in its meaningful contributions to the community, the environment, and the long-term development of the local area,” Mr. Pham Thai Duong emphasized.
A Next-Generation Industrial Park Built on Three Major Shifts
At the ceremony, Vice Chairman Truong Viet Dung affirmed that Hanoi will move away from outdated industrial park models, refusing to trade environment for short-term growth, or accept obsolete technology. The capital's next-generation industrial park must embrace three major shifts: moving from land exploitation to the exploitation of knowledge, technology, and productivity; transitioning from low-cost assembly to high-tech manufacturing and advanced logistics; and shifting from merely creating jobs to generating sustainable livelihoods, high incomes, and development opportunities for local residents.
“The Dong Anh Industrial Park is envisioned as a model for a green, smart, responsible industrial park deeply connected to the value chains of the capital, the nation, and the world,” the Vice Chairman stated.
Regarding project implementation, city leaders expressed confidence and high expectations that VINACONEX will leverage its capabilities and experience to develop Dong Anh Industrial Park into a next-generation model - green, smart, modern, and well-connected.
By securing the role of master investor for Dong Anh Industrial Park in the northern growth pole, VINACONEX is honored to partner with the Capital on both strategic driver poles in Hanoi's new development orientation. This milestone not only affirms VINACONEX's capabilities and experience in infrastructure investment and development but also reflects its long-term commitment to working alongside the City in shaping modern, sustainable, and globally integrated development spaces for the future.
