VINACONEX ACCOMPANYING WITH CSC AWARD 2023 – AWARD FOR EXCELLENT STUDENTS OF HANOI UNIVERSITY OF CIVIL ENGINEERING

On December 25, 2023 in Hanoi, the Supporting Fund for Talented Students of the Construction Course (FSC) in collaboration with Hanoi University of Civil Engineering (HUCE) held the CSC Award Ceremony 2023. Vinaconex was honored to be co-sponsor of this CSC award given to the top students of the 2022-2023 academic year at HUCE

Attending the award ceremony were Mr. Nguyen Xuan An Viet, Deputy Director of the Department of Political Education and Student Affairs (Ministry of Education and Training); Mr. Ta Tan, Deputy Director of the Department of Non-Governmental Organizations (Ministry of Home Affairs), Assoc.Prof.PhD. Nguyen Trong Thi, Party Committee Secretary and Chairman of the Council of HUCE, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Hoang Tung, the Rector of HUCE, Assoc.Prof.Dr.Merited Teacher Pham Duy Hoa, Former Rector of HUCE, and representatives from relevant ministries, departments, and branches 
Mr. Dao Ngoc Thanh, Chairman of Vinaconex’s Board of Directors, Chairman of Conata Group’s Board of Directors, Chairman of the FSC’s Management Council was present on the side of Vinaconex Corporation. Besides, Mr. Nguyen Manh Cuong, President of Corporation’s Trade Union; and other leaders of Vinaconex JSC and its member units also attended.

Since 2011, the FSC has annually bestowed the CSC Award upon outstanding students at HUCE, with sponsorship and management provided by Cotana Group and Vinaconex. The CSC Award 2023 Science Council comprised dedicated educators and business leaders from Cotana Group and Vinaconex - co-founder, sponsor, and manager of the FSC. The Council seriously selected deserving recipients from among 11 outstanding candidates from HUCE's faculties.
Prior to the award ceremony, the FSC Management Council organized a floral tribute to honor Assoc.Prof.Dr.Merited Teacher. Pham Duy Hoa, the former Principal of Hanoi University of Civil Engineering and Chairman of the CSC Award Science Council. This tribute recognized his substantial commitment and contributions to the development of both the FSC and the CSC Award since their establishment.

Among top 10 candidates, Duong Cong Son from Class 64CS3 in the Faculty of Information Technology was selected as the recipient of the CSC Award 2023, receiving a reward valued at VND150 million. The other candidates were recognized with Certificates of Excellent Students from HUCE, along with valuable rewards.

In his remarks, Mr. Dao Ngoc Thanh, Chairman of BOD of Vinaconex JSC and Cotana Group, Chairman of the FSC’s Management Council, extended deep gratitude to Ministries, Departments, Sectors, and both domestic and foreign donors for their continuous care and support. He also thanked HUCE’s Science Council for their fair selection process in choosing the most deserving individual for this prestigious award.
In the context of global integration and rapid advancements in science and technology, the young workforce faces both opportunities and challenges. he encouraged recipients to persist in their determination, believe in themselves, and strive for future breakthroughs. Assuring commitment, he stated that the Foundation would steadfastly adhere to its principles and goals, encouraging and supporting talented Vietnamese students in the construction industry to realize their aspirations.
