The first-ever cohort of students trained in infrastructure engineering tailored to corporate needs has begun their internship at VINACONEX. This K67 Infrastructure Engineering class, part of the High-Quality Engineer Program at Hanoi University of Civil Engineering, will now gain hands-on experience and start building their careers while still in university.
On July 3, 2026, VINACONEX hosted a welcome session for the K67 Infrastructure Engineering students at the Corporation's headquarters.
Representing Hanoi University of Civil Engineering was Dr. Tong Ngoc Tu - Head of the High-Quality Engineer Training Department, along with the K67 Infrastructure Engineering students.
Welcoming the interns were Deputy General Director Nguyen Khac Hai; Deputy Director of the Construction Division Hoang Thieu Bao; Director of Human Resource Development Nguyen Quoc Huy; and leaders of key Project Management Boards within the Corporation.
This marks the first cohort trained specifically in infrastructure engineering to meet corporate demands, representing a significant milestone in the partnership between VINACONEX and HUCE to develop high-quality talent for the construction industry.
In his remarks, Deputy General Director Nguyen Khac Hai emphasized the importance of a proactive learning mindset and strict compliance with workplace safety regulations. He also affirmed VINACONEX's commitment to creating a supportive environment where students can gain real-world experience, build practical skills, and grow professionally.
Dr. Tong Ngoc Tu encouraged students to take charge of their learning, stay curious, and make the most of their internship to build practical knowledge and skills.
Throughout their two years of specialized training, VINACONEX has covered 100% of tuition fees, nearly VND 80 million per student. During the internship, in addition to guidance from experienced engineers and experts, each student will receive a monthly stipend of VND 3.5 million.
Beyond the university's curriculum, students will learn about corporate structure and operations, construction site management, the roles of office-based and field engineers, project management, quality control, safety protocols, environmental management, construction planning, and resource management. They will also gain exposure to digital tools in construction site management.
Upon completing the program and meeting corporate requirements, students will be eligible to join VINACONEX as full-time employees immediately after graduation.
Through this enhanced training partnership, VINACONEX continues to lead the way in developing high-quality talent, building a strong pipeline of engineers ready to meet the evolving demands of the construction industry in the years ahead.
