THE VND 1.5 TRILLION WORTH OF HUE ROYAL ARCHITECTURE-LIKE-AIRPORT TERMINAL THAT BE PUT INTO USE THIS APRIL 30: DESIGNED BY THE SAME UNIT AS THE SUPREME PEOPLE'S COURT, IMPLEMENTED FOR 510 DAYS BY THE JOINT VENTURE OF VINACONEX, REE, ETC.

Inspired by Ngu Mountain, this aviation construction in Vietnam stands out for its unique design resembling the Hue royal architecture with multiple layers of roofs piled on one another. The unit creating this unique project design has also been responsible for the structural design of the Supreme People's Court Headquarters, the Supreme People's Procuracy Headquarters, MB Grand Tower, etc.

In December 2019, the construction of Terminal T2 at Phu Bai Airport commenced with an investment from Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV) amounting to VND 2,250 billion.
When the Prime Minister inspected the project at the end of March 2023, the Project Management Unit reported that almost 95% of the construction had been completed, with 85% of it already approved. As per the schedule, the terminal is set to put into operation on the forthcoming holiday of April 30 - May 1.

The terminal has a construction floor area of about 22,380 sqm, it’s expected to cater to 5 million passengers annually (including 4 million domestic passengers), with a capacity to cater 2,500 passengers during peak hours.

Designed by the unit responsible for the structural design of the Supreme People's Court HQ, the Supreme People's Procuracy HQ.

According to the reporter's research, the joint venture of Consultant and Inspection Joint Stock Company of Construction Technology and Equipment - CONINCO and Azusa Sekkei Co., Ltd - Japan is the main contractor for design consultancy in this project.
Operating since 1979, CONINCO gained a reputation for designing numerous significant political and economic projects, such as: the Supreme People's Court HQ, the Supreme People's Procuracy HQ, MB Grand Tower, Phu Bai International Airport and so on.
This unit also plays a big role in consulting, supervising, bidding at noteworthy constructions of the National Assembly House, the new Ba Dinh hall, the HQ of the Ministry of Public Security, the HQ of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the HQ of the Military Broadcasting Center, 5000-seat gymnasium in Quang Ninh province, Hoang Van Thu Bridge in Hai Phong, 108 Military Central Hospital, Vincom Royal City, Vincom Park Hill, etc. 

“Big Boss” Vinaconex - REE jointly implement the project

Regarding the construction contractors, the Joint Venture of Vietnam Construction and Import-Export Corporation (Vinaconex) - ATAD Steel Structure Joint Stock Company - R.E.E Mechanical & Electrical Engineering Joint Stock Company - Thang Long Bridge No7 Joint Stock Company has won the bid to execute the construction project of passenger terminal T2 at Phu Bai International Airport with a value of over VND 1,545 billion and execution time of 510 days.
The leading contractor of the winning joint venture, with a workload exceeding 48%, is Vinaconex.
At the project, Vinaconex has completed many items to serve the construction work in the project, which is the office building for common use; System of temporary fences, gates and construction site protection houses; The system of public service roads and sewers in the construction site; Transformer station for construction; General lighting system; Power supply system to the main cabinet; Toilets in the construction site; Project signboard; The supply of clean water…
Vinaconex has successfully carried out a variety of items to support the construction work in the project, including the shared office building; System of temporary fences, gates, and on-site secure houses. Additionally, Vinaconex has constructed public service roads and sewers, installed a transformer station for construction; general lighting system; power supply system for the main cabinet; restrooms at the construction site, project signboards, and clean water supplying.
Previously, Vinaconex collaborated with TAISEI to construct the International Passenger Terminal T2 at Noi Bai International Airport (Hanoi) with a total realized value of over JPY 37 billion equivalent to VND 5,342 billion. 

As for ATAD Steel Structure Joint Stock Company, this unit is in charge of detailed design, manufacturing and erecting steel structure items with a sum of nearly 2,700 tons in total.

R.E.E Mechanical & Electrical Engineering JSC is responsible for the supplication and installation of the electromechanical system at Terminal T2 in Phu Bai airport. Before undertaking this project, REE was also the supplier and installer of electromechanical systems at Tan Son Nhat International Airport and Terminal T2 of Can Tho Airport. They were responsible for supplying and installing mechanical & ventilation systems, as well as BMS at Terminal T2 of Noi Bai airport. 
Furthermore, the supplier of the MSA Latchways anti-slip roof system for the project is European Construction Systems Co., Ltd (Eurocs).
