CONSTRUCTION BEGINS ON HOA BINH-MOC CHAU EXPRESSWAY

Representing VINACONEX were Chairman of the Strategic Council Dao Ngoc Thanh, Chairman of the Board of Directors Nguyen Huu Toi, Deputy General Director Nguyen Khac Hai, and Director of Project Management Unit No.1 Pham Thai Duong.

The Hoa Binh - Moc Chau Expressway expressway spans approximately 34 kilometers, stretching from Km 19+000 to Km 53+000. The project is scheduled for implementation from 2024 to 2028, with a total investment of nearly VND 10 trillion. As the first expressway in Hoa Binh, it is a milestone for the province's transportation infrastructure. In its first phase, the expressway would have four lanes, a design speed of 80 km/h and a width of 12 meters upon completion. 

The joint venture of contractors VINACONEX - VNCN E&C - 479 Hoa Binh is responsible for Package No. XL 01: Construction and installation (including survey, design of physical protection) of foundation, road surface and other works along the route from Km 19+000 to Km 40+750 (excluding two tunnels and specific road sections from Km 34+990 to Km 37+087.870, and from Km 37+798.400 to Km 38+911.540), underthe Hoa Binh – Moc Chau expressway project (section from Km19+000- Km53+000 in Hoa Binh province)

Speaking at the event, Prime Minister Chính noted the importance of the expressway as a crucial milestone in the Northwest's infrastructure development and the economic progress of Hoa Binh province, which serves as the project's investor. He urged all parties involved, particularly Hoa Binh provincial authorities, to accelerate site clearance efforts and complete the process by November 30, 2024, facilitating the construction, and addressing potential challenges, especially procedures with raw material extraction.

The Prime Minister asked contractors to strive the best to expedite the construction timeline, ensuring the project is completed by December 31, 2027, maintaining safety and quality standards throughout the construction of phase 2 to expand and finalize the expressway.

In response to the Prime Minister’s directive, Chairman Dao Ngoc Thanh, representing the joint venture of contractors VINACONEX - VNCN E&C - 479 Hoa Binh, expressed pride in being entrusted by the investor with the responsibility of executing Package No. XL-01 of the Hoa Binh - Moc Chau Expressway project. He committed that the joint venture would mobilize its best efforts to ensure safe, high-quality construction and deliver the package ahead of schedule, contributing to the success of one of Hoa Binh province's most critical transportation projects, making achievement to welcome the Party Congresses at all levels towards the 14th Party Congress, and supporting the broader goal of building a prosperous and happy nation.
