With a total investment of VND 4,500 billion, designed by Raymond Inc. (Japan), the AEGIS International Hospital project covers a gross floor area of 290,000 sqm, comprising two 26-storey towers, four interconnected basement levels, and an 8-storey multifunctional building. The facility will provide 1,000 hospital beds and is positioned to become one of the largest and most advanced private healthcare complexes in Vietnam.
The groundbreaking ceremony for the AEGIS International Hospital was held solemnly, co-organized by T’Hospital Co., Ltd. and Vinaconex Corporation (VINACONEX). Distinguished guests representing government agencies, project partners, and the investors participated in the groundbreaking ritual.
The ceremony was honored by the attendance of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Van Thuan, Deputy Minister of Health and Chairman of the National Medical Council, along with Ms. Phung Thi Hong Ha, Standing Vice Chairwoman of the Hanoi People’s Council, affirming the project’s significance within the national healthcare development strategy.

The ceremony also welcomed Mr. Saito Masafumi, First Secretary of the Embassy of Japan in Vietnam, together with a delegation of Japanese representatives and partners, reflecting the project’s strong international cooperation in healthcare development.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Dong, General Director of Vinaconex Corporation and Chairman of the Board of AEGIS International Hospital, affirmed that the project marks the beginning of a long-term strategy to develop a network of AEGIS-branded general hospitals meeting international standards across multiple provinces and cities nationwide. He expressed his vision of bringing the world’s medical excellence to Vietnam, enabling local communities to access international-standard healthcare within the country, and contributing to Vietnam’s emergence as a regional hub for high-quality medical services.
That not only reflects Vinaconex’s commitment to sustainable development and corporate social responsibility, but also demonstrates the corporation’s proactive response to Resolution No. 72 dated September 9, 2025 of the Politburo and Resolution No. 282 dated September 15, 2025 of the Government regarding breakthrough solutions to strengthen healthcare protection and improve public health nationwide.

As part of the program, AEGIS International Hospital signed a series of comprehensive professional cooperation agreements with Vietnam’s leading medical universities, including Hanoi Medical University, Hai Phong University of Medicine and Pharmacy, and Thai Nguyen University; with top-tier central and grade-I general hospitals in Hanoi, such as Bach Mai Hospital, Viet Duc Friendship Hospital, and Saint Paul General Hospital; as well as with research institutes and international medical organizations from Vietnam and abroad, particularly with Japanese partners in the fields of scientific research, technology transfer, management, and professional training.
