On the morning of August 19, 2025, at 80 online connection points across Vietnam, a nationwide ceremony was held to simultaneously inaugurate and break ground on 250 projects, marking the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day (September 2). General Secretary To Lam and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended the event, cut the ribbon at the inauguration, and gave the order to commence construction.
The projects, with a total investment exceeding VND 1.28 quadrillion, include 89 inaugurated works and 161 newly launched projects. Notably, they comprise eight nationally significant undertakings, along with dozens of Category A, B, and C projects spanning transport infrastructure, technical works, healthcare, education, industry, agriculture, and rural development. This broad scope reflects a diverse development landscape where every locality leaves its mark and every sector advances.

Prime Minister Chinh underscored that these 250 projects are substantial, technically demanding, and critical to Vietnam’s socio-economic development.
In his remarks, PM Chinh stressed that the country is entering a breakthrough phase with unified leadership from the Party, strong backing from the National Assembly, and broad public support: “only moving forward, never backward.” The government, he affirmed, is focused on unlocking resources, accelerating development, and building the foundation for sustainable growth, aiming for GDP growth of over 8% in 2025 and moving toward double digits in the years ahead.

At the Hanoi site, Minister of Construction Tran Hong Minh stated that during the 2021-2025 period, infrastructure investment has been identified by the Party and State as one of the country’s strategic breakthroughs, covering fields from industry and energy to transportation and social welfare.Finance Minister Nguyen Van Thang emphasized that the Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway expansion project holds strategic significance, not only expanding development space for Ho Chi Minh City and Dong Nai but also for the entire Southern Key Economic Region. Given its urgency, especially in ensuring seamless connectivity to Long Thanh Airport, the project is being implemented under an emergency construction mechanism, with special policies to shorten procedures and accelerate completion.At the Ca Mau site, Minister of National Defense, General Phan Van Giang, together with other delegates, pressed the ceremonial button to launch projects in the province.
