KICKS OFF THE PACKAGE XL-14 AT MAI SON – NH45 SECTION UNDER THE NORTH – SOUTH EXPRESSWAY PROJECT

On January 11, the Thang Long Project Management Unit in coordination with the Joint Venture of Vinaconex Corporation and Trung Nam E&C Company kicked off package XL-14 of the North-South expressway project at the Mai Son - National Highway 45 section. The groundbreaking ceremony was conducted by Mr. Duong Viet Roan, Director of Thang Long PMU, along with representatives of the contractor joint venture and relevant parties.
Under the Eastern North-South Expressway project, the component project of Mai Son – NH 45 section has a total length of about 63.37 kilometers passing through Ninh Binh and Thanh Hoa provinces, with a total investment of VND12,111 billion. 
Four limited lanes with a design speed of 80kph would be constructed in phase 1 of the project. In the complete phase, it will have six lanes with a design speed of 120 kph.
In his remarks at the ceremony, Mr. Duong Viet Roan, Director of Thang Long Project Management Board informed it was the final bid package of the project, and the districts' site clearance work was mostly finished, and ready for construction work. Therefore, the contractors were required to quickly mobilize workers, equipment, and machinery, design construction drawings, and set up the Executive Board for immediate construction in order to finish the project by 2022.

Contributing to the common mission, the Vinaconex-Trung Nam E&C Company Joint Venture is honored to be the unit executing the package XL-14 for construction of the Km318+000 - Km337+478.11 section (including survey and design construction drawings) with a value of nearly VND2,500 billion and a 24-month execution period.
This is the third package that Vinaconex was honored to take part in. Earlier, the joint venture Vinaconex - VNCN Engineering Construction won the bid package XL-04 for the construction of the Km185+400 - Km235+000 section Ma Lam, Phan Thiet intersections under Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet project with a value of VND3,225 billion and a 24-month execution period.
At Phan Thiet - Dau Giay project, Vinaconex - Trung Chinh Trading and Construction Co., Ltd. also won the bid package 3-XL for construction of the Km47+672 - Km83+000 section (including survey & design construction drawings) with a value of nearly VND 2,300 billion and a 24-month execution period.
