Groundbreaking ceremony for Capital One project: a world-class commercial, office, serviced apartments, and hotel complex
With a total investment of VND 3.9 trillion, Capital One, developed by VINACONEX Corporation, is a vibrant masterpiece blending light, materials, and contemporary architectural mindset. The project is set to contribute to the socio-economic development, commerce, tourism, and high-quality services in the southern gateway of Hanoi, establishing a new standard of living in the capital.
In accordance with the Prime Minister’s directive for groundbreaking and inauguration ceremonies celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 – April 30, 2025), on the morning of April 22, 2025, VINACONEX Corporation solemnly held the groundbreaking ceremony for the Capital One project - the complex featuring a world-class commercial center, office spaces, serviced apartments, and hotel.
With a strategic focus on branding in the luxury real estate sector, VINACONEX has developed Capital One as a model multifunctional complex, combining a commercial center, Class A office spaces, modern serviced apartments, and an international-standard hotel. This prestigious project is expected to attract urban residents, businesses, tourists, and both domestic and international investors.
With a total investment of approximately 3.9 trillion VND, the Capital One project is being developed on more than 11,700sqm in the Kim Van – Kim Lu new urban area, Dai Kim Ward, Hoang Mai District – one of Hanoi’s rapidly developing infrastructure and urban areas. Conveniently located with quick access to Ring Road No. 2, the Phap Van – Cau Gie Expressway, and the Nguyen Xien – Xa La urban corridor, Capital One has a prime position at the southern gateway to Hanoi.
The project is envisioned not only as a convenient destination but also as a compact urban ecosystem where both local and international residents can shop, work, relax, stay, and connect, all within a cohesive architectural framework.
“When we started designing Capital One, my team and I didn’t just think about a building – we envisioned a living, working, and leisure space with a humanistic touch, one that inspires and connects people with nature – a ‘miniature universe’ within the heart of a modern city. I believe that Capital One will become a symbol of Hanoi’s vision, integration, and aspirations for international prominence, as well as a testament to the successful collaboration between Vietnam and Japan,” said Architect Honda Tadakatsu, Chairman of Raymond Vietnam Architect Design One Member Co., Ltd.
Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy General Director of VINACONEX Corporation Tran Dinh Tuan emphasized that the groundbreaking of Capital One coinciding with the 50th anniversary of Vietnam's reunification is highly significant. He noted that Capital One is not merely an investment project, but a symbol of VINACONEX's strategic vision, innovation, and ambition to push beyond new limits. VINACONEX expects the project to contribute to the socio-economic development, commerce, tourism, and high-quality services in the southern region of Hanoi, establishing a new standard of living in the capital.
The launch of Capital One is a concrete step in VINACONEX's strategy of restructuring and positioning the brand in the high-end real estate sector, asserting its role as a leading urban developer in Vietnam. The project is a testament to VINACONEX’s commitment to creating timeless developments, rooted in the philosophy of sustainable development and social responsibility in the new era of national growth.
With a total investment of approximately VND 3.9 trillion, Capital One spans nearly 202,000sqm of built-up area, featuring four underground floors and two 30-story towers. The Class A office area covers nearly 52,500sqm and is developed to LEED GOLD standards – a prestigious green building certification awarded by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). Tower B is planned as a five-star hotel, featuring over 400 luxurious rooms, offering an elite hospitality experience in the vibrant Hanoi center. Designed with a unique concept inspired by the vast universe and the ongoing evolution of humanity, Capital One is a vibrant architectural symphony, skillfully crafted by world-class architects from Raymond (Japan).
