On the morning of July 10, Dong Da District held a groundbreaking ceremony for the synchronous renovation of Dong Da Lake's urban landscape and technical infrastructure. VINACONEX is honored to have been selected as the contractor for this project.

Dong Da Lake, located in the heart of the district, spans approximately 13.3 hectares with a shoreline length of over 2,100 meters. Initially constructed in 2008, the lake's infrastructure and surrounding landscape have deteriorated over time, leading to a loss of aesthetic appeal, uneven sidewalks, etc.
Approved by authorities of Dong Da district, the project to synchronously renovate the technical infrastructure and urban landscape of Dong Da Lake has the Construction Investment Project Management Board of Dong Da district as the designated investor, with a total investment exceeding VND 297 billion and a 415-day timeline for completion (from the handover of the premises).
He stated that the renovation of Dong Da Lake would transform it into a spacious, clean, and beautiful area with modern architecture that aligns with existing works and general development trends. This transformation would also meet the needs of residents and enhance the landscape of Dong Da District and Hanoi City. The project's commencement is significant for the O Cho Dua and Trung Liet wards residents in Dong Da District. It is expected to contribute to the overall socio-economic development of Hanoi City.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tung stated that the district has directed the investors, construction contractors, supervision consultant units, and district departments to execute the project as planned. The goal is to complete the project promptly with approved technical quality, ensuring all items and works meet safety standards and are both functional and aesthetically pleasing for effective use.
As the representative of the project construction contractor, Director of Project Management Board No. 1 Pham Thai Duong (Vinaconex Corporation) affirmed that VINACONEX Corporation's team is committed to leveraging their skills, experience, and determination to overcome challenges and finish the project ahead of schedule while maintaining high standards of quality, efficiency, labor safety, and environmental sanitation. This would facilitate the project to become operational sooner, positively benefiting the Dong Da district community.
Dong Da Lake, located in the heart of the district, spans approximately 13.3 hectares with a shoreline length of over 2,100 meters. Hoang Cau Street runs along the lake's east and southeast sides, connecting Lang Street to De La Thanh Street while passing and running around the lake is the Dang Tien Dong - Mai Anh Tuan route. The surrounding streets are 1,270 meters long and 6.5 meters wide. Initially constructed in 2008, the lake's infrastructure and surrounding landscape have deteriorated over time, leading to a loss of aesthetic appeal, uneven sidewalks, etc. failing to meet community needs for recreation and leisure. Approved by Dong Da District’s People's Council & People's Committee, the Dong Da Lake renovation project has been entrusted to the District Construction Investment Project Management Board. The project involves renovating entire sidewalks, enhancing the lakeside path with rough-surfaced natural stone, replacing damaged railings, planting new trees and shrubs, replacing the existing lighting system on the sidewalk, and installing additional ones for the lakeside path. In addition, landscape features such as outdoor stages and grandstands would be added to the lake at Hoang Cau Street and Mai Anh Tuan Street side without changing the lake’s area and volume. To enhance the urban amenities, the project would equip custom-made stone benches, a children's play area on Dang Tien Dong Street, near Hoa Sen Kindergarten, and four other designated spots with play equipment for children; as well as portable toilets placed at three high-traffic locations and near the lakeside path access point. |
