HANOI CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL OFFICIALLY INAUGURATED AND OPERATIONAL

On the morning of October 9, the Hanoi People's Committee held the inauguration ceremony for the Hanoi Children's Hospital, marking the official launch of this key project for the capital. Representing Vinaconex, the contractor for the project, Deputy General Director Duong Van Mau attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony
The Hanoi Children's Hospital is regarded as one of Hanoi’s key projects, making significant milestone in healthcare and socio-economic development of the Capital in general, and underscoring commitment to improving public health in particular.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Ms. Bui Thi Minh Hoai, Politburo member, Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee, head of the capital city's National Assembly delegation, along with members of the Party Central Committee: Minister of Health Dao Hong Lan and Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son as well as leaders from various Central and Municipal ministries, departments.
Representing VINACONEX at the ceremony were Deputy General Director Duong Van Mau and Director of Project Management Unit No. 2 Phan Tran Anh.
In her remarks, Vice Chairwoman of Hanoi People's Committee Vu Thu Ha remarked that the construction of Hanoi Children's Hospital is a key project for the 2020-2025 period, aimed at establishing a high-quality pediatric hospital equipped with advanced and specialized technology.
After nearly two years of dedicated preparation and construction, the project was completed and put into use on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of Capital Liberation Day (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2024). As the city's first specialized pediatric hospital, it offers 24 specialized medical departments, with a capacity of 200 beds in its initial phase, which is now fully operational.
Ms. Vu Thu Ha highlighted that the inauguration of Hanoi Children's Hospital reflects the efforts and responsibility of Hanoi's entire political system in fulfilling the objectives of Program No. 08 of the City Party Committee, contributing to the successful implementation of the targets set by the Resolution of the 17th Hanoi Party Congress.
Hanoi Children's Hospital (phase 1), spanning nearly 68,000 m², has a total investment of approximately VND 785 billion, comprising a six-story building divided into two main units: Unit 1A, covering nearly 17,400 m², houses the Examination Department, emergency areas, technical and paramedical areas, and administrative offices, while Unit 1B, spanning 11,800 m², is dedicated to inpatient treatment and integrated services. The hospital's basement area, covering 5,540 m², includes infection control units, parking, warehouses, waste tanks, and various technical and auxiliary systems. Besides, the northeastern section of the area features a technical zone equipped with an oxygen station, wastewater treatment plant, water tanks, a transformer station, etc. The project places significant emphasis on green spaces, with landscaped gardens and open areas on various floors designed to foster a connection with nature. According to the Hanoi People's Committee's approval, Phase 1 (2021-2024) of the hospital includes 200 inpatient beds, with plans to expand to a total capacity of 500 beds in future phases. VINACONEX contractor, was entrusted with key construction tasks, including the anti-termite system, elevator equipment, and separate interior furnishings. With other collaborating units, VINACONEX ensured safety, progress, high standards of quality, and delivered the project on schedule and was highly appreciated by the investor. |
