CONFERENCE TO REPORT ON THE PARTY BUILDING WORK, PRODUCTION AND BUSINESS ACTIVITIES IN 2022 AND DUTY IMPLEMENTATION IN 2023

In 2022, VINACONEX Corporation and enterprises operating in the field of construction and real estate industry continued to confront challenges and hurdles, but VINACONEX nevertheless achieved optimistic outcomes. With the attitude of “BE PROUD - BE CONFIDENT - BE HUMBLE”, VINACONEX will continue its steady development stages in 2023 to build emulation achievements to celebrate the Corporation's 35th anniversary.
On January 7, 2023, VINACONEX Corporation conducted a Conference to summarize the Party building work, business activities in 2022, and deploy duties in 2023.
The conference was attended by:
- Mr. Dao Ngoc Thanh, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Corporation’s Board of Directors
- Mr. Nguyen Duy Dung, Chairman of the Members' Council of the Corporation
- Mr. Nguyen Xuan Dong, Member of the Board of Directors, General Director of the Corporation
- Members of the Board of Directors, Board of Management, Members' Council, Board of Supervisors, Corporation’s Executive Committee of the Party, Directors/Deputy Directors of functional departments, Member of Standing Committee of Trade Union, Youth Union of the Corporation.
- The Secretaries of Party Cell/Party, Chairman of the Board of Directors, General Directors, Directors of member units of the Corporation and the Secretaries of Central Committee; Principals of Ly Thai To schools.
Especially, VINACONEX collectives and individuals with outstanding performances who were elected in 2022 participated in the conference.
Mr. Nguyen Manh Cuong, Permanent Secretary of the Corporation’s Party Committee, presented the report summarizing Party building work at the conference. He said: This is the fourth year of operation under the new ownership structure. Party and Unions works at the Corporation shall continue to play an important role in strengthening and solidifying internal unity, affirming the position and role of Party organizations and unions in companies, contribute more to the Vinaconex’s development of culture, brand name as well as production, business commercial operations.
Despite continuing to encounter challenges brought on by the pandemic's negative impacts, instabilities of the global polity and local economy in 2022, employees still had their full jobs, full salaries paid on time and security while VINACONEX's culture and brand name were still being preserved and enhanced.
In corporate management and administration, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Dong, Member of the BOD, General Director of the Corporation presented the report on production and business results in 2022 and the implementation of tasks in 2023.

In 2012, as the national leading contractor, the Corporation continued to earn contracts and be appointed contractors in several significant projects in the fields of transportation infrastructure, civil construction, and industry with State budget and FDI, having a total winning value of more than 8,000 billion VND. The typical projects include:
Bidding packages for component projects under the North-South Expressway project with State budget (Bai Vot - Ham Nghi, Van Phong - Nha Trang; Construction of ground leveling and drainage works under Component Project 3 - Long Thanh International Airport Phase 1; Project of National Children's Hospital); Bidding packages/projects with FDI (Clean Industrial Park Project in Hung Yen province, Vung Ang Thermal Power Plant, Long Son Refinery and Petrochemical Plant, etc
Besides, VINACONEX has been a reputable contractor, ensuring construction progress and quality, which was highly appreciated by domestic and foreign investors, such as the Mikazuki project, the Dakba Hydropower Project, the 93 Lang Ha luxury apartment building, the Long Son project, the Cheng Loong Binh Duong project, the Vinh Tuy Bridge project, and the Cat Ba - Amatina urban area project.
With the land bank of nearly 2000 hectares, the Corporation now has a diverse investment portfolio to fulfill all demands, including housing, tourism-resort infrastructure, and industrial park infrastructure, etc. In 2022, the Corporation is going to continue to promote the implementation of ongoing investment projects such as Cat Ba Amatina (ITC); Green Diamond complex of apartment and office for lease at 93 Lang Ha street, Hanoi; Project Km3,4 in Hai Yen ward (Mong Cai city); Extended Hoa Binh Boulevard Urban Area (Mong Cai, Quang Ninh province); Thien An new urban area (VINACONEX 25), Office building project for lease at Kim Van Kim Lu, and so on.
Also in this year, VINACONEX completed and supplied to the market the project of a complex of high-end offices and apartments for lease - Green Diamond at 93 Lang Ha (Hanoi) which created a stir and appeal in the capital's real estate market towards the end of the year.
Furthermore, VINACONEX continues to make financial investments in sectors that provide stable income and profit such as electric energy, clean water, services, education, labor export, etc, keeping up M&A activities, and maintaining/increasing the capital ownership ratio in order to maintain control and operation of the corporation. Especially, the investment phase in the Dak Ba hydropower project was finished and two machinery units was under the test operation last December, and is expected to generate commercial power in January 2023 that was earlier than the schedule. Moreover, Vinaconex implemented divestment in enterprises operating inefficiently or not aligned with the Corporation's development goal.
Regarding the developmental direction and mission in 2023, VINACONEX would continue to focus on 3 key sectors: Construction, Real Estate Investment and Financial Investment. In which, the corporation would continue to promote the role and position of the leading contractor in the construction field; keep restructuring to improve the efficiency of production and business activities.
Speaking at the conference, Chairman of the Members' Council of the Corporation acknowledged the efforts and appreciated the results achieved by the Board of Directors, Board of Management and employees of VINACONEX in 2022 in the context of economic difficulties.
VINACONEX maintained its stability and growth, and restructuring was effectively carried out. On projects in the field of highway construction and infrastructure works (waterports, airports, etc), VINACONEX contractor continued to be recognized and enhanced its reputation and brand name. These projects had all been implemented simultaneously and precisely according to plan, but it is still necessary to maintain the quality and brand recognition of VINACONEX in each project. The Chairman of the BOD specifically confirmed that VINACONEX had been moving on the right way, taking step by step firmly, and sustainably.
As the Corporation's 35th anniversary is coming, the Chairman of the Members' Council proposed that the BOD, BOM, unions, and employees in the VINACONEX system to promote and well implement the 3B viewpoint: “BE PROUD - BE CONFIDENT - BE HUMBLE” in order to continue spreading the spirit of emulation and archiving achievements to celebrate the Corporation's anniversary.
2023 would be a special year for the Corporation as it marks the 35th anniversary of the Corporation's establishment (September 27, 1988–September 27, 2023); it also marks the 5th year of comprehensive state capital restructuring at VINACONEX as well as the 6th Congress of the Corporation's Trade Union. In the Conference, in order to appreciate the efforts and dedication of VINACONEX humans, the Conference praised and presented noble emulation titles: “The Party grassroots organization completing duties excellently in 2022", “Typical VINACONEX Enterprise in 2022", “Typical VINACONEX Unit in 2022", "Typical VINACONEX Manager in 2022", "Typical VINACONEX Employee in 2022".
Mr. Nguyen Manh Cuong, Deputy chief of the secretariat of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Trade Union, and Chief of Office of the Corporation, also spoke at the Conference. He discussed the implementation of the content of launching imitation in 2023 to welcome the 35th anniversary of the Corporation's establishment, and the 6th Congress of the Corporation's Trade Union, term of 2023–2028, in order to foster competition throughout the entire VINACONEX system at the beginning of the year.
Speaking at the Conference's conclusion, Mr. Dao Ngoc Thanh, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Corporation's Board of Directors, confirmed and highly appreciated the dedication of each and every VINACONEX employee as well as the approvals, and outcomes achieved by the Corporation in 2022. The Chairman of the Board of Directors requested the entire VINACONEX humans to keep promoting the spirit of solidarity, innovation, and creativity, focusing on implementing the set plans to successfully complete the production and business duties of the Corporation in 2023 (the year celebrating the 35th anniversary of VINACONEX’s establishment)
In 2022, with production, business results, and capability in all activities, VINACONEX continued to be ranked and awarded the titles of Vietnam Golden Star Award 2022, Top 10 reputation construction contractors, Top 10 strongest brands in the construction and construction material sectors, Top 10 typical construction brands, Top 15 best financial management businesses, Top 50 best enterprises, and the Top 500 Vietnamese largest enterprises, etc. This is an important foundation for Vinaconex to pursue its goal of becoming the leading national economic corporation in the field of construction and real estate. |
