After a year of upgrades, Hoang Cau Lake, often referred to as the “green heart” of Dong Da District, has emerged with a new look: modern, vibrant, and full of life. Once known primarily as a public gathering space, the revitalized lake is now poised to become a major focal point for culture, tourism, and large-scale events in central Hanoi.
The project to synchronously renovate the technical infrastructure of Hoang Cau Lake, officially launched in July 2024, with a total investment of nearly VND 300 billion. The development is now entering its final stage, with VINACONEX contractor working intensively to ensure on-time completion and handover.
Centrally located in the bustling Dong Da District, Hoang Cau Lake spans a water surface area of 13.3 hectares and has long served as the area’s natural “green lung.”It is encircled by key traffic routes, including Hoang Cau St, which links Lang St to De La Thanh St, as well as Dang Tien Dong St – Mai Anh Tuan St corridor, creating a graceful urban curve that harmoniously connects city life with nature.As of now, most of the planned upgrades are taking shape.One of the standout features is a floating stage designed to host cultural and artistic performances for audiences of up to 1,000 people.With a vision to enhance the landscape in line with Hanoi's urban growth, the project includes lakeside promenade, green spaces, and direct connections to the floating stage—adding to the lake’s visual and experiential appeal.This site is poised to become a vibrant intersection of nature, art, and community—a captivating new destination in the heart of Hanoi.Glass railings, stone-paved sidewalks, and lakeside promenades have been completedThe glass railings will be adorned with floral trellises, creating a poetic, colorful natural settingThe upgraded surroundings are expected to draw local residents and visitors from across Hanoi and beyond.VINACONEX is accelerating work on the remaining components, ensuring the project is delivered on schedule.The transformation of Hoang Cau Lake is the result of collective efforts by city government, Dong Da District authorities, the local community, and VINACONEX contractor. Once completed, the project is expected to become a modern urban landmark - an open-air cultural venue and a compelling destination for both locals and visitors in Hanoi and particularly within Dong Da District.
