For VINACONEX, the annual trip to historic sites is more than a tribute to past generations, it is an opportunity to strengthen traditions, foster unity, and reaffirm the core values that define the Corporation's culture.
Marking the 79th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2026) and the 38th anniversary of VINACONEX's founding (September 27, 1988 - September 27, 2026), the Corporation's Trade Union and Youth Union jointly organized the “Returning to the Roots 2026: Honoring the Past - Inspiring the Future” program. The journey took employees, union members, and workers to historical sites in Quang Tri and Ha Tinh provinces.
The delegation was led by Mr. Tran Dinh Tuan, Party Committee Secretary and Deputy General Director of the Corporation. Joining him were Mr. Nguyen Khac Hai, Deputy General Director; Mr. Nguyen Quoc Huy, Trade Union President; Mr. Hoang Thieu Bao, Vice President of the Trade Union and Youth Union Secretary; along with leaders from various units, employees, union members, and workers from across the Corporation.
As part of the program, the delegation paid respects at the grave of General Vo Nguyen Giap, the memorial temple of President Ho Chi Minh, and the central monument at the Truong Son National Martyrs Cemetery - resting place of over 10,000 soldiers who fell on the legendary Ho Chi Minh Trail.
The delegation also offered incense at the Quang Tri Citadel - an enduring symbol of patriotism and revolutionary heroism; and paid tribute to the 10 young female martyrs at the Dong Loc T-junction historic site, a “fiery coordinate” that bears witness to the courage, resilience, and sacrifice of Vietnam's youth during the resistance war against America. The group also visited several other historical and cultural landmarks in Quang Tri and Ha Tinh, deepening their understanding of the nation's long tradition of struggle and resilience.
As an annual tradition, the program carries profound political and social meaning, helping to educate employees on revolutionary traditions, foster patriotism, and promote the values of gratitude and remembrance. It also serves to preserve and uphold the humanistic values at the heart of VINACONEX's corporate culture.
More than a visit to historic sites, the program offers each VINACONEX employee a moment to bow in reverence, express gratitude to past generations, and draw inspiration - nurturing national pride, a sense of responsibility, and a renewed commitment to excellence in their work.
The values cultivated through each “Returning to the Roots” journey will continue to inspire VINACONEX's employees to uphold unity, responsibility, and innovation - building quality projects together, contributing to the Corporation's sustainable growth, and advancing alongside the nation's development.
