On January 24th, in Chu Pah district, Gia Lai province, Vietnam Electricity-EVN, in collaboration with Vietnam National Union of Electric Power Workers (VNUEPW), Vietnam Electricity Power Projects Management Board No.2, and Jont Venture of contractors including Lung Lo, Truong Son,Song Da, Vinaconex, and Lilama 10, held a review of the 2023 emulation movement and launched the 2024 one.
The event drew representatives from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, leaders from EVN and Vietnam Electricity Union (VNUEPW), as well as delegates from Vietnam Electricity Power Projects Management Board No.2, Lung Lo Construction Corporation, Truong Son Construction Corporation, Song Da Corporation, Vinaconex Joint Stock Corporation, and Lilama 10 Joint Stock Company.
In 2023, the Executive Boards of the Ialy Hydropower Plant Extension Project and the Joint Venture responsible for Package 37: Construction and installation of works under the Project, alongside other units, efficiently directed and implemented the “Completing the construction progress target in 2023 under package 37” emulation movement. This concerted effort resulted in surpassing all 8 construction and installation targets ahead of schedule. EVN General Director Nguyen Anh Tuan praised the dedicated work and diligence of the project's teams and individuals. They overcame obstacles and introduced innovative solutions to fulfill the objectives outlined in the emulation agreement.
Vinaconex Joint Stock Corporation achieved emulation goals, including the early completion of the headrace tunnel having excavation faces 1 and 2 three months ahead of schedule, and reaching a structural concrete pour of 594/581md. This success was facilitated by setting daily, weekly, and monthly goals for teams, assigning tasks, and fostering spirited emulation among employees and workers. Additionally, construction was organized in 24/7 shift work, overcoming obstacles to ensure progress.
With the accomplishments achieved, Vinaconex Corporation was honored to be one of 5 units receiving certificates of merit from EVN. Particularly, Mr. Le Manh Hung, Director of the Executive Board, and Mr. Khuong Van Vu, Construction Deputy Manager of Package No. 37 were awarded certificates of merit for their exceptional achievements in the emulation movement.
Building on this success, EVN launched the “Generating two units of Ialy hydropower plant extension project in 2024” emulation movement from January 19, 2024, to December 31, 2024, focusing on main items including the intake structure, underground components, powerhouse, transmission, etc.
Vinaconex and the contractor joint ventures are fully committed to meeting the goals of the 2024 emulation movement through proactive and innovative strategies, ensuring the timely completion of power generation for both units.
