Innovating activities, improving worker welfare, and driving emulation movements were key themes highlighted at VINACONEX's Trade Union 2026 mid-year review conference, setting the stage for the entire Corporation to meet its goals for the year ahead.
On July 8, 2026, the VINACONEX Trade Union held its 2026 mid-year review conference to assess first-half performance, outline priorities for the second half, and provide professional training for union officers.
The conference was honored to welcome Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Huyen - Vice Chairwoman and Ms. Bui Thi Hong Thuy - Deputy Head of the Labor Relations Department of the Vietnam Trade Union for the Building Workers
Representing VINACONEX were Mr. Tran Dinh Tuan - Party Committee Secretary, Board Member, and Deputy General Director; Mr. Pham Thai Duong - General Director; Mr. Nguyen Quoc Huy - Trade Union President; along with members of the Trade Union Executive Committee, the Trade Union Inspection Committee, grassroots union chairpersons, and union officers from across the system.

At the conference, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Huy presented the first-half performance report and outlined the direction for the second half of 2026. He noted that VINACONEX's Trade Union continues to innovate its approach, staying closely aligned with production and business objectives while responding to worker needs. Key highlights include the digital transformation of occupational safety communications through the V-Safety program, active participation in Workers' Month and OSH Action Month activities, and the launch of emulation campaigns at major projects across the system.

In the first half of the year, the Trade Union made significant strides in modernizing its operations and driving digital transformation, alongside a range of activities in response to Workers' Month and the OSH Action Month launched by the National Trade Union for the Building Workers

Worker welfare remained a top priority, with practical initiatives delivered throughout the period. The Trade Union allocated over VND 1.26 billion for Lunar New Year gifts to every union member and worker; provided support to members in difficult circumstances totaling VND 591 million; rolled out a health insurance program early in the year; and built a sports facility at the Corporation's headquarters - all contributing to improved benefits and stronger bonds between the enterprise and its workforce.

Speaking at the conference, General Director Pham Thai Duong praised the Trade Union's achievements and reaffirmed that the Union remains a vital partner in supporting workers and fostering a stable, engaged working environment. He also expressed his hope that the Trade Union would continue to serve as a bridge, working alongside the enterprise to meet its 2026 business targets.

In his keynote remarks, Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Ngoc Huyen acknowledged the innovative strides made by VINACONEX's Trade Union. Looking ahead, she encouraged the Union to continue its partnership with the enterprise, drive union membership growth, and effectively promote the emulation movement “Skilled Workers, High Productivity, Better Pay”. All of which contribute to higher labor productivity, improved worker income, and the broader goal of building “A Happy VINACONEX.”
Building on these insights, Trade Union President Nguyen Quoc Huy affirmed that VINACONEX's Trade Union would continue to renew its content and methods, strengthen its role as a bridge between the enterprise and its workers, and support the Corporation in successfully achieving its 2026 business targets.

As part of the conference, a signing ceremony was held to formalize commitment to the emulation movement “Skilled Workers, High Productivity, Better Pay” between the Corporation's leadership, the Trade Union, the Youth Union, and grassroots unions, signaling a collective determination to drive a spirited emulation campaign across the entire system.
