VIETNAM NATIONAL UNION OF BUILDING WORKERS PAID A WORKING VISIT TO VINACONEX

Implementing Plan No. 376/KH-TLD dated November 8, 2023 by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor on organizing activities to support and attend to the well-being of union members and employees in celebration of the Lunar New Year 2024, on December 20, the working group led by Vice President Do Van Quang of Vietnam National Union Of Building Workers (VNUBW)’s Trade Union, conducted surveys and worked with Vinaconex Corporation regarding the implementation of employee welfare policies.

On behalf of Vinaconex, Mr. Nguyen Manh Cuong, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of the Corporation's Trade Union, and members of the Trade Union’s Standing Committee and Trade Union officers were present at the working session.

After reaching an agreement on the execution's content and methods, considering a report on the implementation of employee policies in 2023 and the 2024 Lunar New Year plan presented by the Corporation's Trade Union, as well as opinions shared by union members, Mr. Do Van Quang acknowledged and appreciated the successful outcomes achieved by both the Corporation and its Trade Union in the execution of policies benefiting employees. Specifically:

• Vinaconex Corporation has successfully secured employment for staff until the end of 2024, ensuring timely payment of salaries, bonuses, and benefits. The employees receive improved benefits, as stipulated in the labor agreement, exceeding the provisions of the Labor Law.
• The Corporation issued Joint Official Dispatch No. 5039/2023/LT-VP dated December 15, 2023, guiding for organizing employee care activities for the 2024 Lunar New Year, under the Directive of the Secretariat of Central Committee.
• The Corporation's Trade Union has proactively developed and implemented a plan for Tet (Lunar New Year) care for employees, including compiling a list of Tet gifts for 330 employees facing special circumstances (VND1 million/case), receiving 220 Tet gifts from the VNUBW (VND1 million/gift) and distributing to employees and workers in special circumstances.
   

Mr. Nguyen Manh Cuong, speaking on behalf of the Corporation's Trade Union, expressed gratitude for the VNUBW's attention and support. Besides, he would like the working principle “Higher-level Trade Unions consistently support the activities of their lower-level counterparts; Proactively coordinate, share, and accompany the Enterprise” to be adhered widely to foster unity and synchronization across the entire, benefiting both employees and corporate development.
