10 REMARKABLE HIGHLIGHTS OF VINACONEX IN 2024

Entering 2024 - a pivotal year and a turning point for a new era - with a comprehensive leadership of the Corporation’s Party Committee and the resolute management of the Board of Directors and Board of Management, VINACONEX continues to further promote strategic research and business development.

This decision was formalized through the Resolution by the Board of Directors, introducing key organizational enhancements:  
- The establishment of a Strategic Council, with Mr. Dao Ngoc Thanh appointed as its Chairman.  
- The election of Board member - Mr. Nguyen Phu Toi as Chairman of the Board of Directors.  
As Vietnam enters a new era of national development, particularly with rapid advancements in transportation infrastructure, VINACONEX remains committed to innovation, creativity, and human capital development to sustain its leadership in the construction and real estate sectors.
Additionally, VINACONEX has actively researched and adopted the modern construction technologies and methodologies from both domestic and international sources. By ensuring robust financial and equipment resources, the corporation is well-positioned to seize emerging opportunities from major transport infrastructure projects.

In the Long Thanh International Airport project - one of the nation’s most significant infrastructure project, VINACONEX takes pride in being selected as a joint venture member entrusted with executing the project's most critical components after successfully passing a rigorous selection process.
Having the construction started on August 31, 2023, Long Thanh International Airport’s passenger terminal is the largest and most complex component of the project. 
On July 31, 2024, VINACONEX became the first unit to complete the steel reinforcement and topping out of the terminal roof, meeting the highest standards of quality and safety.  Entering early 2025, VINACONEX continues its pioneering momentum as the first contractor in the joint venture to complete the terminal roof, covering nearly 14,000 sqm of wing areas. VINACONEX is determined to finalize the entire roof structure by April 30, 2025, ahead of the rainy season, ensuring progress for interior finishing works.  
Beyond the terminal, VINACONEX is accelerating work on the project's second-largest component - Construction, equipment installation and construction drawings preparation for runway, taxiway, aprons, and other facilities. Committed to excellence, VINACONEX aims to complete these tasks three months ahead of schedule, aligning with the historic milestone of April 30, 2025, welcoming the 50th anniversary of the Southern Liberation and National Reunification.   
For other key bid packages, VINACONEX is fully deploying its resources, actively participating in the 450-day and night peak emulation campaign launched by the Prime Minister, and striving to ensure the project’s completion by the end of 2025.

Across VINACONEX-managed expressway construction sites from North to South, the relentless hum of machinery echoes day and night. Driven by unwavering determination and direction of the Prime Minister, VINACONEX remains steadfast in its mission to complete and hand over key segments of the North-South Expressway project Phase 2—including the Bai Vot - Ham Nghi, Vung Ang - Bung, and Van Phong - Nha Trang sections—by April 30, 2025, exceeding the contractual timeline by 6 to 10 months.
As for the Ring Road 4 - Capital Region project, VINACONEX is accelerating construction efforts to finish six months ahead of schedule, aligning with directives from the city. The goal is to complete the project in 2025, marking the 95th anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam and welcoming the 18th Congress of the Hanoi Party Committee. 
Meanwhile, as the lead contractor for Bid Package No. 03-XL of the Tuyen Quang - Ha Giang Expressway (Phase 1), VINACONEX continues to deliver outstanding performance, earning high praise from local authorities and investors. 
Moreover, VINACONEX continues to make significant strides in civil construction. Alongside ongoing projects, the corporation contributed to the completion and inauguration of the Hanoi Children's Palace and Hanoi Children's Hospital, both operational in time for the 70th anniversary of the Capital’s Liberation.

At the expansion project of Terminal 2 at Noi Bai Airport, VINACONEX made a significant breakthrough by assuming the role of joint venture leader for the first time. Successfully managing and executing the project under a structured and professional joint venture Executive Board model, the Corporation reinforced its reputation as a premier contractor. 
The expansion project of Terminal 2 at Noi Bai Airport is a substantial project in Vietnam’s aviation infrastructure, requiring meticulous planning and execution. Its complexity stems from the need to integrate the new expansion seamlessly with the existing terminal while ensuring uninterrupted airport operations. Despite these challenges, the expansion project is set to be completed on October 24, 2025 - nearly three months earlier as the Prime Minister’s directive, and the renovation phase scheduled for completion by December 31, 2025, in line with the approved timeline.

Guided by its mission of “Build your Values – Inspire your Dreams” VINACONEX has solidified its reputation not only in the domestic market but also on the global stage. The Corporation has become a trusted contractor and strategic partner for numerous large-scale foreign-invested projects.  
After 24 months of rigorous construction, the Hung Yen Clean Industrial Park—a landmark of Vietnam-Korea cooperation—was successfully completed on schedule in December 2024. VINACONEX’s work received high praise from the investor for its superior technical precision and aesthetic quality, earning the company a prestigious Letter of Commendation from the Korean Minister of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport.  
In the closing days of 2024, VINACONEX was further recognized with the Excellent Safety Award from the main contractor, Doosan, at the Vung Ang 2 Thermal Power Project, underscoring the Corporation’s role in achieving 20 million safe work hours of the project.

With Vinaconex Diamond Tower, a Grade A office building located in the heart of Hanoi’s Hai Ba Trung district, the Corporation has affirmed its ability to develop world-class office spaces, offering a refined, modern, and inspiring work environment. Similarly, Vinaconex Green Diamond has emerged as a symbol of luxury and sustainability, setting new standards for high-end urban living. These projects mark a new chapter for VINACONEX as it strengthens its presence in the premium real estate sector.
In Mong Cai, Quang Ninh, the Corporation has successfully completed the first phase of the 48.8-hectare Hoa Binh Boulevard Urban Area project, securing approvals from authorities to commence sales. 
Beyond research and development of projects, VINACONEX remains committed to environmental sustainability. On November 26, 2024, the Corporation inaugurated the centralized wastewater treatment plant at the Cat Ba Amatina Urban Tourism Area, featuring advanced European technology and a processing capacity of 10,000 m³/day.

In 2024, VINACONEX continues to make significant strides in developing Industrial Parks as having Prime Minister’s approval to be the investor for the construction and business of infrastructure of Dong Anh Industrial Park in Hanoi. With a planned area of 300 hectares and a total investment of VND 6,300 billion, this key project—closely overseen by the Hanoi Party Committee and the People's Committee—is set to transform the development of the capital's industrial sector.  
Regarding industrial park real estate management, the Hoa Lac Investment Project Management Board has launched the construction of electricity and water supply systems for investors in High-Tech Industrial Park 2, while actively attracting new tenants. Beyond its role as an investor, VINACONEX fosters collaboration, positioning the capital as a key player in both national and global production and supply chains.

Northern Electricity Development And Invesment Joint Stock Company No.2 (NEDI2) commemorates its 20 years of construction and progress with a remarkable milestone. The Ngoi Phat Hydropower Plant stands as its most significant success, boasting the highest electricity output and making the largest budget contribution to Lao Cai province.
As for social welfare, VIWACO has remained steadfast in its mission for nearly 20 years, ensuring a reliable supply of clean water, safeguarding public health, and playing a vital role in water security and the sustainable development of the capital.
