VINACONEX ORGANIZES A CONFERENCE TO SUMMARIZE PARTY WORK, ACTIVITIES OF THE CORPORATION'S TRADE UNION AND YOUTH UNION IN 2023
2023 is a significant milestone for Vinaconex as it celebrates the 35th anniversary and commemorates five years since transitioning to a non-state-owned enterprise. With the outstanding efforts of the political system, Board of Directors, and dedicated employees, the Corporation maintains stable production and business activities and a leading position in Vietnam's construction industry.
On January 18, 2024, Vinaconex held a Conference to summarize the party-building work, and activities of Trade Union, and Youth Union in 2023, and deploy duties in 2024.

105 delegates attended the meeting, comprising members of the Corporation's Party Committee Executive Committee, Deputy Heads of Departments under the Party Committee, members of the Party Committee's Inspection Committee, and Secretaries of affiliated Party branches. Additionally, there were members of the Trade Union's Executive Committee, Deputy Heads of departments under the Trade Union, Members of the Trade Union's Inspection Committee, full-time trade union officers, Presidents of the Trade Union, finance department officers from affiliated grassroots Trade Unions, Members of the Corporation's Youth Union Executive Committee, and Secretaries of Youth Union units.

After the opening session, delegates were presented with a documentary summarizing the 2023 activities of the Party, Trade Union, and Youth Union of the Corporation, themed “Enhancing the Role and position of Party Organizations and unions in Vinaconex's Development Journey.” In 2023, despite facing challenges, the Party and Union activities yielded encouraging results in 2023: The Corporation's Party Committee effectively directed and closely worked with the Board of Directors, Advisory Council, and Board of Management to fulfill production and business tasks in line with Resolution of the General Meeting of Shareholders, fostering internal solidarity, enriching corporate culture, and the Vinaconex brand. The successful organization of the Corporation's 35th-anniversary event showcased Vinaconex's professionalism and left a positive impression on Vinaconex employees. Under the Party Committee's guidance, the entire corporation achieved an expected revenue of VND 12,500 billion, a 128% increase from 2022, and an expected profit of VND 360 billion, meeting 100% of the target. The Party Professional Committees under the Corporation's Party Committee fulfilled their 2023 tasks, recognized by the Hanoi City Party Committee. Several individuals received Merit Certificates from the Municipal Party Committee's Party Building Committee.

Upholding the values of “Innovation - Democracy - Solidarity – Development”, the Corporation’s Trade Union has had a meaningful year through various activities for its members and employees. Collaborating with the Executive Board, the Trade Union launched 21 programs and emulations across key projects with a total bonus of approximately VND 1.5 billion; actively participating in the “One Million Initiatives - efforts to overcome difficulties” program initiated by The Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and Vietnam National Union of Building Workers; organizing Cultural and sports events to mark important political occasions and foster unity and pride among Vinaconex members. The successful organization of the Corporation's Trade Union Congress of the term of 2023 - 2028 (The Upper-Level Trade Union Congress of Vietnam National Union of Building Workers), and the re-election of comrade Nguyen Manh Cuong as Member of the VNUBW’s Standing Committee, official delegate of VNUBW attending the Congress of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor for the 2023 - 2028 term, are the upper-level trade union's recognition for the role, performance and contributions of the Corporation's trade to the nationwide workers' movement in the construction industry.
Comrade Nguyen Quoc Huy, Vice President of the Corporation's Trade Union, presented the main tasks report for the Trade Union's work in 2024.
The Corporation's Youth Union has prioritized directing and implementing tasks aligned with the Corporation's specific operations, in line with guidance from Hanoi City’s Party Committee and Youth Union; actively executing the “Dynamic, creative Vinaconex youth, applying digital transformation” program, promoting cultural and sports activities and fostering initiatives and technical improvements. Notably, the Corporation's Youth Union was honored with a Certificate of Merit from the Hanoi Youth Union for their outstanding contributions last year.
During the conference, delegates received reports from representatives of the Party, Trade Union, and Youth Union organizations of the Corporation on implementing key tasks in 2024. The reports underscored the determination of organizations in well implement professional work, enhance business efficiency, and foster Vinaconex's culture and brand. The objective is to reinforce the role and position of Party organizations and unions within Vinaconex, becoming a typical Party Committee model in the non-state sector of the Hanoi Party Committee.

Under the guidance of the Party Committee Secretary, delegates actively discussed and exchanged opinions on performing professional tasks, and improving the quality of Party building, Trade Union, and Youth Union activities. All participants at the Conference highly agreed with the Report highlighting the accomplishments of 2023 and the proposed tasks and goals for 2024.

In his closing remarks, Comrade Dao Ngoc Thanh emphasized the importance of continuing to strengthen the role of Party and union activities within Vinaconex. He urged for a focus on innovation, awareness, and proactive activities, accompanying Board of Directors, Advisory Council, and Board of Management in achieving the Corporation's goal of becoming a leading economic group in the construction and real estate fields, making Vinaconex a typical example of effective party and union development in non-state enterprises in the capital and country. Finally, President Thanh extended New Year's wishes to all attendees for more health and success.
