VINACONEX ACCELERATES WORK ON THE HOA BINH MOC CHAU EXPRESSWAY

With a high sense of responsibility and determination, VINACONEX staff, engineers and workers are on site day and night, keeping progress on track to deliver the Hoa Binh Moc Chau expressway on schedule.
The Hoa Binh Moc Chau expressway project (the section within Hoa Binh province) runs approximately 34 km with a total investment of nearly VND 10,000 billion. It is a priority transport project that will progressively complete the expressway link between Hanoi and the Northwest region, creating momentum for economic, tourism and trade development across the area.

VINACONEX is delivering Package No.XL-01, a large-scale package covering earthworks, bridges, culverts and pedestrian underpasses. Despite challenges from difficult mountainous terrain, harsh weather, a long rainy season and outstanding site clearance at certain locations, the company has mobilised manpower and equipment proactively, organised construction flexibly and stayed close to the schedule.
VINACONEX staff, engineers and workers remain on site day and night at Package No.XL-01, making the most of favourable weather to accelerate progress while maintaining quality and occupational safety.

After nearly nine months of construction, completed output on the package has reached almost 35% of contract value. Embankment works are around 55% complete, including approximately 5 km of K95 subgrade finished.

On the structures along the route, all 7 of 7 bridges are under construction, with 3 bridge decks completed. In addition, 8 of 9 pedestrian underpasses, 17 of 17 large box culverts and 41 of 59 precast culverts have been completed, creating favourable conditions for the next phases of work.
To meet the investor’s schedule requirements, VINACONEX continues to concentrate resources, add equipment, open multiple work fronts and take advantage of favourable conditions to speed up earthworks and structures along the route.

By the end of 2026, VINACONEX aims to complete around 85% of the earthworks volume and finish all 7 bridges in the package, including one Grade I bridge, while maintaining strict standards of construction quality, occupational safety and environmental protection.
