According to Associate Professor Dr. Hoang Tung, Principal of HUCE, the Vietnamese Government considers innovation to be one critical strategic breakthroughs for rapid and sustainable development. He highlighted the government's efforts to implement specific mechanisms and policies to promote technology application and transfer, focusing on empowering businesses to drive research, development, and innovation; thereby cultivating a thriving startup ecosystem and strengthen the national innovation system.
As part of the conference, leading representatives from partner businesses and units committed to supporting the schools' start-up and innovation activities including VINACONEX Corporation, Hoa Binh Construction Corporation, Construction and Investment Joint Stock Compayy No.18 (Licogi 18); Harmony Advanced Technologies Ltd; South Transport Engineering Design Joint Stock Incorporated; My Son Import-Export and Investment JSC signed a memorandum of understanding with schools to provide specific forms of support.
Specifically, VINACONEX signed a cooperation agreement to support the development of start-up projects, facilitate technology transfer, and provide consulting services for businesses in the construction sector.
Engaging in activities that connect schools with businesses would raise awareness, equip students and young lecturers in the technical majors with practical skills regarding management and administration to reduce business risks. By establishing this foundation, schools can transform entrepreneurship and innovation into practical and effective activities, rather than sporadic trends.
Building on the long-standing partnership between Vinaconex Corporation and HUCE, the two units signed a cooperation agreement to support the development of startup projects, facilitate technology transfer, and provide consulting services to construction businesses.
Previously, Vinaconex and HUCE had entered into a cooperation agreement aimed at enhancing the operational efficiency regarding training, applied research, and technology transfer; as well as providing mutual support to promote each other's strengths, aligning with the development orientation of both parties, complying with law, and meeting societal development needs while ensuring mutual trust.
Vinaconex has been involved in organizing and sponsoring various meaningful programs of HUCE, including the Business Connection Conference, Career Guidance, CSC Award for excellent students, etc.
Both the schools and the Ministry of Education and Training actively implemented the agreed-upon initiatives. One such initiative is the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Key Project funded by the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB) and guaranteed by the Singapore Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The main objective of the project is to create the Vietnam Innovation, Science and Technology Alliance – VISTA, which will bring together a network of seven schools and businesses to collaborate and share resources, effectively supporting entrepreneurship and innovation projects. |
