In response to the call from Party, Government, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, on September 16, 2024, VINACONEX launched the program “Supporting Communities in Recovering From Storm And Flood Damage” at its headquarters.
Recently, severe storms and floods of Typhoon No. 3 have caused extensive damage in northern provinces, to promote the tradition of solidarity, mutual support and corporate responsibility, on September 11, 2024, government, VINACONEX's Party Committee, and affiliated units issued a joint statement calling for collective efforts to aid recovery.
At the launch ceremony, Mr. Dao Ngoc Thanh, speaking on behalf of the Party Committee and the BODs, called upon each individual and unit within the corporation to make meaningful contributions towards rapid recovery of production and the stabilization of lives affected by storms, floods.
According to the joint document of the Party Committee, Government, and Trade Union of VINACONEX, each officials, union member, and employee would voluntarily donate one day's salary to assist affected communities. At the launch event, in addition to the collective salary donation from all employees, the Corporation received direct contributions totaling VND 50,570,000.
The combined funds, including voluntary employee donations and the contributions raised during the event, would be forwarded to those impacted by the storms and floods through the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and local provincial and city-level committees, as well as directly aid the families of VINACONEX employees affected by the disaster.
Recently, VINACONEX has actively participated in numerous charitable programs, providing support to underprivileged communities across the country. These efforts include funding the construction of schools in disadvantaged areas, building charity houses, restoring martyrs' cemeteries, assisting Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, and contributing to the Vietnam Sea and Island Fund, the Fund for the Poor, and the Fund for Agent Orange victims, etc.
