The graduation ceremony for Vietnam's first cohort of high-speed and urban railway engineers affirms the effective partnership between VINACONEX and Hanoi University of Civil Engineering (HUCE) in developing high-quality human resources, ready to participate in the nation's most critical infrastructure projects.
On the morning of April 18, 2026, Hanoi University of Civil Engineering held a solemn graduation ceremony for the Bachelor of Transport Construction Engineering, specializing in High-Speed and Urban Railway.
This is the first cohort of engineers in Vietnam to receive specialized training in high-speed and urban railway engineering, a significant milestone in the national strategy to develop high-skilled workforce for modern transport infrastructure.

Thirty-four engineers from VINACONEX were awarded bachelor's degrees in Transport Construction Engineering specializing in High-Speed Railway and Urban Railway

The ceremony was attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Tung, Rector of HUCE; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Phu Doanh, Vice Rector; Dr. Nguyen Tuan Anh, Head of Training Management Department; and representatives of the faculty involved.
Representing VINACONEX were Mr. Dao Ngoc Thanh, Chairman of the Corporation's Strategic Council; Mr. Nguyen Khac Hai, Deputy General Director; Mr. Nguyen Quoc Huy, HR Director and Director of Human Resource Development Dept; along with leadership from Project Management Board No. 1.

The ceremony was also attended by the 34 new engineers specializing in High-Speed Railway and Urban Railway, all of whom are VINACONEX employees
Speaking at the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Tung emphasized that after a period of dedicated effort, the University and its students have successfully completed the curriculum. This marks a major milestone in the training history of HƯC and serves as practica evidence of the effective collaboration between the University and industry. Notably, the program highlights VINACONEX's people-centered approach in consistently investing in workforce development and providing employees with opportunities to advance their professional expertise.

On behalf of the Corporation's leadership, Mr. Dao Ngoc Thanh congratulated the first cohort of high-speed railway engineers from HUCE. He expressed deep gratitude to HUCE for its successful partnership in training these pioneers. He added that building on this success, the two parties will continue their collaboration in April 2026 with the opening of a new engineering program in infrastructure construction engineering - another field requiring high-quality, specialized human resources.

Speaking on behalf of the graduates, Mr. Truong Viet Anh expressed gratitude to the University and the Corporation for providing the opportunity to study and conduct research. He pledged to continue learning, enhancing his capabilities, and effectively applying his knowledge in practice, ready to participate in infrastructure projects of of national scale.

Mr. Truong Viet Anh, speaking on behalf of the 34 new engineers, thanked the University and the Corporation for their support during the training program.

During the ceremony, HUCE announced its graduation decision and formally conferred degrees upon the new engineers.
On this occasion, the University also honored and awarded outstanding students, acknowledging their sustained efforts and impressive academic and research achievements throughout the training period.
