PM PHAM MINH CHINH KICK-STARTS CONSTRUCTION AND INAUGURATES KEY NATIONAL PROJECTS

On April 19, 2025, at the central hub of T3 Terminal, Tan Son Nhat International Airport, Ho Chi Minh City, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh chaired the groundbreaking and inauguration ceremony for 80 key national projects across the country to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and Vietnam Reunification. The ceremony was held both in person and online, with 79 locations across 34 provinces and cities participating. VINACONEX proudly contributed to the inauguration/groundbreaking of four major national projects.

At the T3 Terminal site, PM Chinh and other dignitaries performed the groundbreaking and ribbon-cutting ceremony for various projects marking the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and Vietnam Reunification. With a total investment of approximately VND 445 trillion, these projects include 47 completed projects and 33 newly started ones.

In his speech, PM Pham Minh Chinh expressed hope that these significant projects would serve as “symbols” that help position Vietnam as a nation of Independence, Peace, Unity, Resilience, Happiness, Prosperity, and Civilization on the world map, benefiting the people.

In the road sector, six new expressway projects, covering 227 kilometers, have been completed, bringing the total length of operational expressways in Vietnam to 2,268 kilometers. Four of these projects were completed 6-9 months ahead of schedule. VINACONEX contributed significantly, completing two expressway sections, including the Bai Vot – Ham Nghi and Van Phong – Nha Trang expressways.

The Bai Vot – Ham Nghi expressway project, totaling 35.28 kilometers, passed through Duc Tho, Can Loc and Thach Ha districts, with an investment of  VND 7.64 trillion.

The expressway is expected to open on April 28, 2025, ahead of schedule, with full completion by June 30, 2025.

The Van Phong – Nha Trang section, part of the Eastern North-South Expressway, stretches 83.35 kilometers and contributes to achieving the government’s goal of 3,000 kilometers of expressways by 2025 and 5,000 kilometers by 2030.

In Hanoi, the groundbreaking ceremony for the different-level intersection between Ring Road No. 3.5 and Thang Long Boulevard was also held, with an investment of nearly VND 2.4 trillion.

VINACONEX, along with partners in the Thang Long Joint Venture (Trung Chinh JSC, Viet Nam Infrastructure JSC, Truong Son Construction and VTCO), is honored to be awarded the contract for Package No. 28 - design and construction drawings (including the creation of a Building Information Modeling (BIM) application), as well as the construction of all transportation infrastructure, technical infrastructure, and procurement and installation of equipment. This is a key contract with a value of VND 1.62 trillion.

At the same time, a groundbreaking ceremony for Package No. 13 of the road construction project from DT. 277 to the Nguyen Van Cu Memorial Site was held, with a total investment of nearly VND 150 billion. The joint venture between VINACONEX Corporation and Hai Nam Investment-Construction JSC was honored to be selected as the contractor for this significant project.
