On October 23, 2023, in Hanoi, Vinaconex Joint Stock Corporation agreed to sign a contract assigning tasks to member unit Vinaconex 25. These tasks involved providing construction machinery, materials, and labor for the construction of the underground section, structural framework, and plastering of the passenger terminal’s central area, which was part of Package 5.10 - Construction and Equipment Installation of Long Thanh International Airport’s Passenger Terminal.
On the Vinaconex Corporation’s side, there were the attendances of Mr. Dao Ngoc Thanh - Chairman of the Corporation’s Board of Directors; Mr. Duong Van Mau - member of the Board of Directors, Standing Deputy General Director of the Corporation; Mr. Nguyen Khac Hai - Deputy General Director of the Corporation. Also present were the Directors, Deputy Directors of Thang Long Department, and representatives of various professional departments under VINACONEX Corporation.
On behalf of Vinaconex 25, there were General Director Nguyen Van Trung, and Mr. Truong Van Duc, Deputy General Director along with representatives from the company’s departments.
Package 5.10 of the project for the Long Thanh Airport terminal has a total investment cost of VND 35 trillion. Spanning across a land area of 150 hectares, the terminal is designed with two distinct entrance and exit routes, consisting of one ground floor and three other floors, reaching a peak height of nearly 46 meters, and accommodating 40 aircraft parking positions. The passenger terminal is expected to be completed and operational by 2026.
Package 5.10 of the project is executed by the Vietur contractor Joint Venture, which comprises 10 members including Vinaconex, along with several domestic and foreign contractors such as Ricons, Newtecons, Sol E&C, Vinaconex, CC1, IC ISTAS Construction Industry and Trade Group under the IC Holding Group in Turkey.
In his remarks, Mr. Duong Van Mau, Deputy General Director of Vinaconex Corporation, emphasized that Vinaconex 25 Joint Stock Company is a member controlled by VINACONEX, owning 66.33% of its charter capital. He highlighted the crucial role of Vinaconex 25 in the Corporation and its successful track record in executing large-scale projects in the southern region. Mr. Duong Van Mau requested Vinaconex 25 to efficiently carry out the assigned project, employing determination, a systematic approach, and all its human resources, materials, machinery, and equipment to ensure the completion of the bidding package with high quality and on schedule.
At the event, Mr. Nguyen Van Trung, General Director of Vinaconex 25, also expressed gratitude and pride for being entrusted by the Corporation to contribute development of this significant project. He committed that Vinaconex 25 would be resolute in meeting the timeline, ensuring quality, technical–aesthetic requirements, and complete safety throughout the project.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, Mr. Dao Ngoc Thanh, Chairman of VINACONEX Corporation's Board of Directors, delivered a speech to congratulate the successful signing ceremony, demonstrating professionalism and unity to optimize resources in the VINACONEX system.
The Chairman believes that with the leadership and professional management of VINACONEX Corporation, along with the participation of core member units, the critical Package 5.10 of the Long Thanh airport project would successfully cross the finish line. Not only would it be completed ahead of schedule but it would also meet the expectations of investors and authorities.
Package 5.10 including the construction and installation of the Long Thanh International Airport’s Passenger Terminal, is a large-scale project with intricate technical features. Once finished, it would rank among the most modern terminals in the country, representing Vietnam's ambition to soar in the aviation industry and become an appealing destination as well as holding a substantial significance for the socio-economic development of the southern region and the entire country.
