Over the past 38 years, generations of VINACONEX employees have shaped the Corporation’s growth through their expertise, resilience, perseverance, and teamwork. Building on the values established over nearly four decades, VINACONEX continues to innovate, strengthen corporate governance, and pursue sustainable growth under the spirit of "Building Value – Inspiring Dreams – Shaping the Future."
On September 25, 2026, VINACONEX held a ceremony at its headquarters to mark the Corporation’s 38th anniversary (September 27, 1988-September 27, 2026). The event gave leaders and employees an opportunity to reflect on key milestones, honor those who laid the foundation for the Corporation, and look ahead to the next stage of its development.
The event was attended by Mr. Nguyen Xuan Dong, Chairman of the Board of Directors; Mr. Dao Ngoc Thanh, Chairman of the Strategic Advisory Council; Mr. Tran Dinh Tuan, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Deputy General Director; and Mr. Pham Thai Duong, General Director.
The ceremony also welcomed former leaders, including Mr. Vu Khoa, former Chairman of the Board of Directors and VINACONEX’s founding General Director; Mr. Nguyen Thanh Phuong, former Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman, and General Director; Mr. Vu Quy Ha, former Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman, and General Director; and former Trade Union chairmen who served during different periods.
Other attendees included members of the Party Committee Standing Board, Board of Directors, Executive Board, and Supervisory Board; leaders of functional departments and project management boards; representatives of the Trade Union, Youth Union, and Ly Thai To Education System; and executives from member companies and regional offices in Central and Southern Vietnam.
Speaking at the ceremony, General Director Pham Thai Duong said challenges had never held VINACONEX back. Instead, difficult times had helped shape a resilient workforce—one prepared to think boldly, take action, accept responsibility, adapt to market changes, and draw strength from solidarity.
Reflecting on the theme "Building Value, Inspiring Dreams," the General Director emphasized that honoring tradition does not mean simply repeating the past. It means continuing to take initiative, embrace new technology, and adopt modern governance practices.
“Every individual should find a better way to carry out at least one task. Every business unit should strengthen a core capability. Every construction site should introduce a practical improvement. Every project should remain firmly committed to quality and safety. And each of us should take pride in protecting VINACONEX’s reputation, culture, and brand,” Mr. Pham Thai Duong said.
Mr. Nguyen Xuan Dong, Chairman of the Board of Directors, said the 38-year milestone represents a proud legacy built on the dedication, knowledge, and collective determination of generations of employees. Looking ahead, he called on staff throughout the organization to remain accountable, united, and focused on a shared purpose as VINACONEX strengthens governance, works more efficiently, improves business performance, and sharpens its competitive edge.
He urged teams to protect the Corporation’s culture and make greater use of modern technology to improve productivity, quality, and operational efficiency across the organization, helping VINACONEX achieve its strategic goals.
One of the ceremony’s most moving moments was a tribute to Mr. Vu Khoa, former Chairman of the Board of Directors and the Corporation’s founding General Director, who guided VINACONEX through its earliest and most challenging years.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Vu Khoa congratulated VINACONEX on its achievements and reflected on the rapid pace of technological change in the global construction industry. He expressed confidence that the Corporation would continue to build on its unity, pioneering spirit, and distinctive culture as it strives for further growth.
Thirty-eight years mark both a proud milestone and a launching pad for new journeys. Powered by enduring core values and unified determination across the entire organization, today's generation of VINACONEX employees continues to write the next chapter: “Building Value – Inspiring Dreams – Shaping the Future.”
