GROUNDBREAKING CEREMONY OF PHU THU INTERSECTION AND LINKING ROAD CONSTRUCTION PROJECT IN TIEN HIEP COMMUNE, PHU LY CITY

On May 14, 2023, the People's Committee of Ha Nam Province held the groundbreaking ceremony of the investment project for the Phu Thu intersection and its linking roads in Tien Hiep Commune, Phu Ly City. The current scale of investment project for the Phu Thu intersection and its linking road in Tien Hiep Commune, Phu Ly city is set for constructing a two-level intersection including a tunnel on Cau Gie - Ninh Binh expressway with six lanes and a designed speed of v=120 kph on the first level; The second level accommodates four exits and entrances, which will serve to connect the expressway with the Ring Road No. 5 and the local roads. The total investment for the project amounts to approximately VND1,400 billion sourced from the local budget. The project is going to be executed from 2022 to 2025. The third level of the Phu Thu intersection has been planned as an overpass for the Ring road no.5 of the Capital Region, spanning over the Cau Gie - Ninh Binh expressway. Ha Nam province reserves the land fund to invest in construction at this level in the next phase.

In his remarks at the ceremony, Comrade Truong Quoc Huy, Chairman of Ha Nam Provincial People's Committee, stressed out that in order to fulfill the objective of developing Ha Nam province quickly and sustainably, the province has been concentrating on acquiring the utmost resources, investment in developing infrastructure, especially transport infrastructure since it serves as an essential driving force for socio-economic development. The construction of Phu Thu intersection linking the Cau Gie - Ninh Binh expressway (in accordance with the planning of Ring Road No. 5) at the northern gateway of Phu Ly city is of great importance, gradually forming the Ring Road No. 5 (along the East-West traffic axis of the province) that helps to promote socio-economic development of the province, contributing to the completion of the inter-regional transport system, as well as fostering cooperation and economic development between Ha Nam and surrounding provinces..
