On September 21, Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyen, Party Central Committee member, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee, along with government officials and representatives, formally inaugurated Hanoi Children's palace and unveiled the commemorative signboard to welcome 70th anniversary of the capital’s liberation. Representing Vinaconex contractor, Mr. Dao Ngoc Thanh, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Corporation's Strategy Council, participated in the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
The inauguration ceremony saw the attendance of Mr. Nguyen Minh Triet, Secretary of the Central Youth Union and President of the Vietnam Student Association; Ms. Phung Thi Hong Ha, Standing Vice Chairwoman of the People's Council; and Mr. Ha Minh Hai, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee. Vinaconex representatives, including Chairman Nguyen Huu Toi and members of Project Management Board 1, were also present to mark the occasion.
In his progress report, Mr. Dong Phuoc An, Director of the Hanoi City Civil Construction Investment Project Management Board, emphasized the significance of the Hanoi Children's Palace as a flagship project of Hanoi for 2020-2025 period, aiming to create a comprehensive cultural, sports, and political location for the youth of both Hanoi and the nation.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyen, in her speech, highlighted the commitment of the Municipal Party Committee, along with the People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, to prioritizing child care and education. She stressed the city's efforts to protect and promote children's rights by ensuring land and resources are allocated for the development of cultural and sports facilities in order to nurture the physical and mental well-being of the capital's people, including teenagers and children.
This key project of Hanoi City invested in the period of 2020-2025 aims to provide a premier space for children in the capital and the country to learn, play, and develop. That project inaugurated on the occasion of the 70th Anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2024) makes it even more meaningful.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyen believed that, with its modern, spacious design integrated with nature and equipped with advanced, high-quality facilities, the Hanoi Children's Palace would fulfill its role as a cultural and sports palace, catering to children's needs for education, recreation, sports competitions, and physical development, providing an ideal environment for nurturing the city's future talents. Additionally, the palace would continue to innovate, making significant strides in quality to meet societal demands, contribute to the comprehensive education of Hanoi’s youth and worthy of being a place where children's dreams are nurtured and encouraged to soar.
Situated on a nearly 40,000sqm plot in the CV1 Lake Park area of Cau Giay New Urban Area, Nam Tu Liem district, the Hanoi Children's Palace is a significant project investment of nearly VND1,400 billion with modern facilities that integrates with nature and incorporates smart, automated systems.
Hanoi Children's Palace aims to become a leading cultural, sports, and political center for the youth of both the capital and the country. The complex consists of two interconnected buildings, Block A and Block B, and offers a wide range of facilities, including 800-seat theater, 3D-4D cinema (200 seats), 500-seat gymnasium, 10-lane swimming pool, study room and library, astronomy tower, administrative office block, along with synchronized technical infrastructure system, in line with the approved master plan.
Vinaconex was entrusted as the contractor for Block B, which includes the gymnasium, swimming pool, library, and the 68-meter-high Astronomy Tower—one of the most challenging and highlight item of the project. Working in collaboration with other contractors, Vinaconex ensured the project's safety, progress and quality, and successfully delivered the project on schedule, earning high praise from the investor.
