In package XL1, Vinaconex's part is to undertake the construction of items at pillars T25, T24, T23, T22 and bored piles T21. On the construction site, contractor Vinaconex is deploying 5 construction stitches simultaneously. Up to now, the contractor has completed 99.5% of the T24HL pillar construction volume, 20 days ahead of schedule; Completing 90% of the construction volume of T23 pillar, 15 days ahead of schedule; At the T22 pillar, bored piles and concrete bottom have been completed, construction is continuing, and the construction progress is satisfactory. "In the coming time, the contractor will accelerate the construction work at the T22 pillar to complete the pillar body before the rains and floods this year", said Mr. Le Quang Hoa, deputy commander of package XL1 (Vinaconex contractor) shared.

The "price storm" of materials, especially steel, is the biggest obstacle for the XL1 package. "At the time of bidding in May 2021, the price of steel was only about 12,700 VND/kg, but so far, steel prices have increased. to nearly 20,000 VND/kg, 1.5 times higher, making the cost of buying materials of the package increased to more than 200 billion VND. We have written to Hanoi City to direct the authorities to soon issue a separate price index for the project to remove difficulties for contractors, "said Mr. Bui Huy Thai.

In addition to the XL1 package, Vinaconex also undertakes the construction of the XL05 package of the Vinh Tuy bridge project 2: Construction of the bridge and road on the Long Bien side. The output of package XL05 is now more than 90%, ahead of schedule compared with the investor's plan.
