VINACONEX LAUNCHED EMULATION MOVEMENT AT LONG THANH INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT PROJECT

To accelerate progress, complete the project on schedule and ensure quality, health, safety, and environment, Vinaconex Corporation chaired an emulation launching ceremony at the Long Thanh International Airport Project on April 14. Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tung, Member of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour's Executive Committee and Chairman of the Vietnam National Union Of Building Workers, graced the occasion and delivered a directive speech.
This event holds significance in commemorating Workers' Month - Action Month on Occupational Safety and Health in 2024, celebrating the 66th anniversary of the Vietnam Construction Traditional Day, the 95th Anniversary of the Vietnam Trade Union’s establishment, the 36th Anniversary of Vinaconex

The ceremony saw the presence of Chairman of the Vietnam National Union Of Building Workers Nguyen Thanh Tung; Vinaconex Corporation's BOD and the project's workforce.
Vinaconex's participation included Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Board of Directors Dao Ngoc Thanh, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of the Corporation's Trade Union Nguyen Manh Cuong, Permanent Deputy General Director Duong Van Mau, Deputy General Directors Nguyen Huu Toi, Nguyen Khac Hai, and Tran Dinh Tuan. Additionally, representatives of the Trade Union Standing Committee, Youth Union, leaders of departments, committees, subordinate units, and employees from construction units at the project site also attended.

Deputy General Director Nguyen Khac Hai, delivering a progress report on the construction, expressed pride in Vinaconex's selection by the Investor to engage in the project's construction from the beginning stage as well as their unit’s continuous involvement in undertaking crucial construction packages. Both Vinaconex and its Joint Venture partners have overcome challenges, proposing various technical solutions and mobilizing essential resources, including labor, machinery, and equipment, deploying construction in three shifts, with four crews, even during holidays to ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.

During the ceremony, Chairman of the Board of Directors Dao Ngoc Thanh extended heartfelt appreciation to the officers and employees engaged in the Long Thanh International Airport, a project of paramount national significance. He requested individuals and the whole team to maintain unity, accountability, and pride in their roles as Vinaconex members, emphasizing safety construction and proper techniques to facilitate the project's successful realization.
Deputy Director of Thang Long Project Management Board, Tran Minh Duc, representing over 1,000 staff at the project, expressed gratitude for the unwavering support and guidance from the Vietnam National Union Of Building Workers and the Corporation's BOD. He stated the resolve to surmount all obstacles in project execution, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, progress, and efficiency standards, thus contributing to the project's overall success.
VINACONEX LAUNCHED EMULATION MOVEMENT AT LONG THANH INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT PROJECT
On behalf of the construction units, Deputy Director of Thang Long Project Management Board, Tran Minh Duc, pledged to pursue emulation targets effectively.
With a firm commitment to speeding up construction progress, the units entered into an Emulation Covenant effective from April 1, 2024, to December 31, 2024. Their objectives include:
 
  • Project Management Board No. 1: Achieving an output of VND 678.46 billion, with revenue reaching VND 480.56 billion.
  • Project Management Board No. 2: Achieving an output of VND 180 billion, with revenue reaching VND155 billion.
  • Thang Long Project Management Board: Achieving an output of VND1,010 billion, with revenue reaching VND789 billion.
  • Vimeco Joint Stock Company, a subcontractor: Achieving an output of VND760.42 billion, and revenue of VND 713.51 billion.
  • Vinaconex 25 Joint Stock Company: Achieving an output of VND296.87 billion and revenue of VND254.89 billion.
To boost the morale of workers, the Vietnam National Union Of Building Workers awarded 150 gifts valued at VND 150 million. The Corporation's Trade Union also presented 6 gifts to 6 construction units and the Executive Board operating at the Long Thanh International Airport Construction Project site.
