VINACONEX SUPPORTS COVID-19 PREVENTION SUPPLIES FOR K HOSPITAL

Facing increasingly complicated epidemic outbreaks with infectious and dangerous levels, VINACONEX has been actively joining hands with K Hospital and the local health department to prevent and fight the epidemic.

Regarding this 4th epidemic outbreak, the frontline hospitals of the country are at high risk of infection. VINACONEX has supported three branches of K hospital with necessary supplies for social distancing, and epidemic prevention works (including folding beds, thin blankets, electric fans, portable sockets, portable toilets, etc.).

K hospital currently has 1,500 patients, about 1,500 patients' family members, and more than 700 medical staff and employees isolated at its three branches. After recording 11 COVID-19 cases, K hospital activated all scenarios for COVID-19 prevention to the highest level and decided to impose a blockade on its three branches, refusing people for examination and treatment save in emergency instances. Moreover, the K Hospital has also hastened to track, zone, and collect all samples of isolated patients for prompt screening.

Previously, based on the professional advice of the Bach Mai Hospital’s special working group assisting Da Nang in fighting the epidemic, Vinaconex directly purchased and presented the city’s health department with modern equipment that hasn’t been equipped at hospitals before. Besides, 10,000 free portions of meals were also donated by Vinaconex to medical facilities and isolation sites across the city. The total donation value was nearly VND 2.5 billion.

In addition, on behalf of Vinaconex Corporation, Vinaconex 25 JSC, a Corporation’s member unit also donated VND 200,000,000 in cash to the Municipal Fatherland Front Committee together with the city's health department to prevent the COVID-19 pandemic.

Vinaconex Corporation also offered 2,000 SARS-COV-2 test kits and other necessary medical supplies to the Hai Phong City People's Committee in support of the city's COVID-19 epidemic prevention and control.
