VINACONEX JOINS HANDS TO REPEL THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC IN DA NANG CITY

On August 11, 2020, representatives from the Viet Nam Construction and Import-Export Joint Stock Corporation (Vinaconex) gave donations of modern medical supplies to be set up for the first time and valued at VND 2.45 billion to some local healthcare facilities in Da Nang city.

Based on the professional advice of the Bach Mai Hospital’s special working group (led by Prof. Dr. Nguyen Quang Tuan, Director of the BMH) and currently assisting Da Nang in fighting the epidemic, Vinaconex directly purchased and donated modern equipment, which is installed for the first time at hospitals to the health department in the city. It can be listed as the made-in-USA color DOPPLER ultrasound (GE Healthcare), which is the most up-to-date bedside ultrasound device available today that allows detecting some diseases that other examination forms cannot do, particularly for the treatment of patients with COVID-19 in echocardiography, pleurae/lungs ultrasound, etc; Electronic patient weighing scale (Pelstar LLC – USA) used to identify the excess or lack of fluid in the body for critically ill or immobilize patients; thermal and photo printers and two LG large-capacity washing machines with dual functions of washing and drying, etc.

Dr. Nguyen Thanh Trung, Deputy Director of the Da Nang General Hospital, thanked Vinaconex for the valuable support and timely in-kind donations to his hospital. He said that such modern and high-quality medical supplies would enable Da Nang General to examine and treat patients with COVID-19 to the fullest extent of its capabilities.

Moreover, as the General Contractor of Mikazuki Spa & Hotel Resort - Da Nang project, Vinaconex is willing to support available workforce and material resources at the projects, as well as 20 engineers, 100 technical workers, 200 ordinary workers and vehicles, machinery, and equipment to construct more isolation areas and field hospitals.

In addition, the Corporation can deploy over 20 subcontractors, strategic suppliers and partners to support the Da Nang city in response to the pandemic.

Previously, on behalf of Vinaconex, Vinaconex 25 JSC, a Corporation’s member unit also presented VND 200,000,000 in cash to the Municipal Fatherland Front Committee for its COVID-19 prevention efforts.
