PRIME MINISTER PHAM MINH CHINH VISITS THE LONG THANH INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT CONSTRUCTION SITE, EXTENDS NEW YEAR GREETINGS

Prime Minister reaffirms substantial completion target by the end of 2025 for Long Thanh Airport Project
On February 1, 2025 (during Lunar New Year7), PM Pham Minh Chinh, accompanied by Deputy PM Tran Hong Ha and leaders from various ministries and local authorities, visited the Long Thanh International Airport construction site to extend New Year greetings to workers and employees. This visit marked the Prime Minister’s sixth inspection of the project, reaffirming the government's commitment to its timely completion. Representing VINACONEX, the contractor selected to participate in the project, Deputy General Director Duong Van Mau, and a dedicated team of employees, and workers were present on-site to welcome the delegation

Acknowledging the dedication and efforts of ministries, departments, investors, and local authorities, particularly the contractors, PM Chinh engaged with all stakeholders, carefully reviewing recommendations to ensure the project remained on track.
He reaffirmed the objective of achieving substantial completion by the end of 2025 and instructed all stakeholders to urgently review and refine the project’s critical path to maintain the timeline.
As for the assigned work, the VINACONEX contractor has strived to complete the entire steel structure and roof of the Passenger Terminal (the most critical item of the Long Thanh International Airport) by April 30, 2025. The runway, taxiway, and apron systems are also set to be finished and operational by the same deadline.
