On November 12, 2025, Deputy Minister of Construction Le Anh Tuan and a working delegation visited Noi Bai International Airport to inspect progress on the Terminal T2 Expansion Project.
Director of Noi Bai International Airport To Tu Ha, together with relevant units, presented updates on the construction site, acceptance testing plans - trial operation procedures - handover processes, and safety, security, fire prevention, and IT system solutions for the final stage.
Deputy Minister Le Anh Tuan directed all parties to focus resources, adhere to commitments, and ensure safety, quality, and aesthetics, aiming to complete the project on schedule and achieving Skytrax 5-Star Airport standards.
Representing VINACONEX, the leading contractor in the Viet Bac Joint Venture, Standing Deputy General Director Duong Van Mau affirmed the contractor’s commitment to ensuring safe, efficient execution and delivering the project according to plan.
He emphasized that this is the first time VINACONEX has served as the lead contractor of the Viet Bac Joint Venture at a substantial international airport project. Through methodical and professional construction management, VINACONEX successfully brought the project over three months ahead of schedule.
Noi Bai International Airport is currently finalizing procedures for submission to the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam, aiming to put the expanded terminal into operation on December 19, 2025, increasing its capacity from 10 million to 15 million passengers annually.
