TRAINING ON OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HYGIENE

On January 12, 2024, the Brand and Occupational Safety Department of Vinaconex Joint Stock Corporation, in collaboration with the National Center for Occupational Safety & Health (OSH) under the Department of Work Safety, conducted a training course and distributed certificates for “Occupational Safety and Hygiene under Decree No. 44/2016/ND-CP dated May 15, 2016, of the Government”, in the construction site management for Package No.XL 03: Construction of Ha Giang - Tuyen Quang Expressway Project.

The program saw the participation of the following experts and course trainers:

• Mr. Pham Hong Minh, Deputy Head of Legal and Inspection Affairs Office, Department of Work Safety, Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs 

On the Vinaconex’s side, there was the presence of:

• Mr. Tran Dinh Tuan, Deputy General Director of the Corporation, Director of Project Management Board 3
• Mr. Nguyen Viet Dung, Deputy Director of Project Management Board 3
• Along with managers, site managers, officers responsible for occupational safety and hygiene, and workers from units involved in Package No.XL 03: Construction of Ha Giang - Tuyen Quang Expressway Project.

This OSH training aimed to disseminate knowledge and raise awareness among employers, officers, employees, and workers, enabling them to effectively implement and adhere to existing legal regulations on occupational safety and health.
In his remarks, Mr. Tran Dinh Tuan, Deputy General Director of Vinaconex Corporation, underscored that adherence to OSH regulations is not just a mandatory requirement but also a crucial responsibility and right of employees. Throughout the training course, officials and workers involved in the XL03 construction on the Tuyen Quang - Ha Giang expressway phase 1 project would keep strengthening their responsibility in building the Corporation's brand image, gaining knowledge and skills related to OSH, effectively preventing accidents for themselves, their families, and society in order to contribute to the successful execution of economic, political, and social tasks set by the Corporation.

Mr. Le Tuan Luong, Head of the Brand and Occupational Safety Department, stated that the course is part of the Corporation's regular internal training program aiming to impart and enhance legal knowledge on OSH, fire prevention, and rescue - not only for Vinaconex personnel but also for contractors involved in projects’ construction. This practical activity significantly impacts propaganda, education, and knowledge dissemination within Vinaconex and the broader construction industry. 

Guided by lecturer Pham Hong Minh, learners received instruction on various topics, including OSH standards and technical regulations; methods to improve working conditions; safety culture in production and business; first aid skills; epidemic prevention, and practice on first aid in the workplace.

Upon completion of the training course, learners would undergo evaluation for their knowledge and skills, and receive OSH certificates. More importantly, this course would instill a sense of spirit and responsibility among employees, fostering collaboration in implementing OSH regulations at various units and projects, thereby contributing to the successful completion of production and business tasks for Vinaconex.
