From August 29 to September 2, 2022, the delegation of VINACONEX Corporation, led by Mr. Nguyen Xuan Dong, General Director, paid a visit to Seoul (Korea) and worked with some large corporations and enterprises at the invitation of the partner.
At the headquarters of Hyundai Engineering Company (HEC), Mr. Nguyen Xuan Dong met Mr. Hong Hyeon Sung - President cum CEO of HEC, and the Vice Presidents and Chief of HEC representative office in Vietnam. Mr. Hong Hyeon Sung appreciated and recognized VINACONEX for its assistance and contribution in completing the Petrochemical Complex in South Vietnam Project in Long Son commune ahead of schedule while maintaining quality and economic efficiency. He also expresses his trust in Vinaconex's capacity to handle large-scale projects in a variety of fields. With the success of the Long Son refinery and petrochemical project, General Director Nguyen Xuan Dong believed that VINACONEX would keep accompanying HEC in the implementation of construction projects in Vietnam, and shared information about the market and investment cooperation opportunities in Vietnam’s real estate projects with HEC.
Visiting and working at Doosan Enerbility Corporation’s headquarters, General Director Nguyen Xuan Dong discussed with Mr. Hong Sung Myoung - Vice Chairman cum EPC1 Project Manager and senior officials of Doosan Enerbility Corporation the implementation of the Vung Ang 2 Thermal Power Project, its obstacles, and coordinated solutions. Mr. Hong Sung Myoung agreed with the solutions proposed by the two parties, and he believed VINACONEX would finish the work at the Vung Ang 2 Thermal Power Project on schedule with high quality, and efficiency. Moreover, Doosan Enerbility Corporation would like VINACONEX to keep assisting them in the implementation of bid projects in Vietnam.
Besides, General Director Nguyen Xuan Dong had an intimate meeting with Mr. Kim Won Ho - Executive Senior Vice President and Head of Foreign Business Department of Kyeryong Company, a joint venture partner with VINACONEX in the infrastructure construction project of the clean industrial park in Hung Yen. Mr. Kim expressed his sincere gratitude to Vinaconex for assisting Kyerong to take part in their first construction project in Vietnam and believed in potential collaboration between both sides in the future thanks to similarities of the two countries' cultures and business practices.
At the invitation of the Korean Government and the Korean Embassy in Vietnam, the delegation also attended the "World Smart City" Expo during the business trip in Korea. Through the new technological solution shown at the Expo, VINACONEX may decide which technologies are suitable for Vietnam's technical infrastructure conditions in its next real estate projects. The delegation paid a visit to the Vietnamese Embassy in Korea and met with the Deputy Ambassador and Trade & Investment Counsellors to discuss VINACONEX's capabilities and operating fields, as well as to express their wish to have the Embassy's assistance in introducing suitable Korean partners to pursue development cooperation opportunities together.
